What happens when I run out of data?
When you have no more data left on your account and continue to use a data service, you will be charged at a rate of
$2.99 real money. To avoid such a scenario, you must ensure you have data on your account at all times and should you
run out of data, either turn off data on your mobile device or subscribe to get more data.

Where can I get apps and games on my tablet from?
All apps and games are available for download from the “Play Store”. To gain access to the play store, click on the ‘Play
Store” or “Android Market” icon from your selection of apps. You will need to login into the store using your ‘Gmail’
account. If you do not have a ‘Gmail’ account, you can create one using the account creation wizard on the “Play Store”.
Once you have signed in into the “Play Store” you can start downloading your apps and games.
1. Go to Play Store 2. Login using Gmail account and start downloading
Why is the battery life on my device so poor?
There are a few reasons as to why this is so. If you have Bluetooth turned on the device full time, it will more battery
power than usual. Having Wi‐fi turned on full time as well will drain power from the battery at a faster rate as well. If
you have turned on data on your device and are using it on 3G mode and have it turned on full time, this will also chew
quite a lot of battery power. Having all three wireless communication mediums turned on at the same time will in turn
chew battery power at a very fast rate, thus giving you low battery life.
How can I preserve my Battery life?
A good practice to preserve battery life on your mobile devices is to turn off wireless communication mediums until
needed. This means keep your Bluetooth, Wi‐fi and Mobile Data turned off until you need to use them, and then turn
them off again when you are done. If you need mobile data turned on all the time for emails and chats there is a way
you can use these services and keep your battery drain at a minimal. Simply turn on data and switch to 2G mode. You
will still be able to use internet on your device only it will be a bit slower but you will have sufficient speed to use for
email and chat purposes. To do this, go to:
ZTE Tab: Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Use only 2G networks (Check)
Other Android Devices: Go to Settings > More settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode (Select GSM Only)
1. Go to Settings 2. Check if Wi‐Fi & Bluetooth are turned on
3. Turn off Wi‐fi & Bluetooth is not in use 4. Mobile Networks > Network Mode
5. If on GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) – This is 3G mode ((
6. Switch to GSM only – This enables 2G mode
Note: Notice the ‘H’ at the bottom right hand corner will now turn into an ‘E’. (Top right hand corner for ZTE Tab)
Now you will be able to use internet and conserve your battery life at the same time!
One of my apps keeps crashing! How can I fix this?
A good way to resolve this is by simply un‐installing the app and then downloading and re‐installing it. To un‐install an
app go to:
Settings > Applications > Downloaded (Tab), tap on the app that you want to un‐install and tap on the ‘Uninstall’
button
After the app has been un‐installed, you can download it again from the ‘Play Store’. This should resolve your issue.
Here’s an example with the Facebook App.
1. Go to settings 2. Application Manager > Downloaded Tab
3. Go to Facebook and press ‘Uninstall’
4. Press OK to confirm
5. Once uninstalled, press OK to dismiss 6. Verify Facebook is no longer under downloaded apps
7. Go to Play Store 8. Go to Facebook
9. Press Install
10. Press Accept and Download
11. Press ‘Keep Shopping’ 12. Wait till downloaded 100%
13. Wait for installation to complete 14. Confirm Facebook is loaded on Applications Manager
