As in a book in which the characters have been omitted, I am trying to tell a story by reporting only the auxiliary elements of the tale. Mattresses, sofas, vases, canes and boxes, are like silent witnesses which form the set where the scenes of the story take place. The story is my personal story; it tells of childhood’s games and grandiosity, staged thanks to various symbols without which there would be no story.

In truth nothing is lost

In truth, nothing is lost, because everything sooner or later returns. Images that resurface from memory, stories from which you remember only a few images, perhaps mismatched between them. Nothing is lost because everything returns under a new aspect. This series is made up of fragments of drawings found. They were studies, decals and cards with images of various kinds which I have broken down and deconstructed giving shape to a new image.

Series of drawing, 21 x 29,7 cm, oil and collage on papaer, 2013.
