JACKSON HOLE’S BEST SKI RESORTS
By: Andrea Mainardi
Thousands of ski lovers head for the hills and beautiful ski resorts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to enjoy the slopes and all that these resorts have to offer during t h e l o n g w i n t e r months.
Jackson Hole is known for its powder-like snow and challenging terrain, which makes it heaven for winter sports enthusiasts. However, it can be a difficult task finding the right resort that accommodates both, your preferences and budget. I have included some of my favorite resorts below, in order to give people some ideas of where to stay and what to expect when visiting this legendary place.
1. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is set in the base of the Teton Mountains, people who visit this
resort have access to the beautiful Apres Vous and Rendezvous mountains. One of the longest
runs is close to 5 miles, and the terrain difficulty ranges between 10% for beginners and 50 %
advanced. It is located 12 miles away from the main town of Jackson, which allows people to
take in some shopping and town experience in between slopes. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
was award the number 1 spot as the best Ski Area by Forbes Magazine for three years in a row!

2. Snow King Ski Area & Mountain Resort
Snow King Mountain Resort is located in the heart of Jackson town and it
offers visitors hourly access to their slopes and peaks, as well as tickets to
nightly access to illuminated trails for after hours tubbing and skiing.
Snow King is perfect for visitors that want to ski, but also enjoy nightly activities
happening throughout the exciting town bars and restaurants. Snow King is one of the
oldest ski resorts in Jackson Hole, offering history and an array of activities for visitors.

3. Grand Targhee Resort
Grand Targhee Resort is located the furthest from the town of Jackson- about a 45 mile hike. However, its seclusion from the town means that it lies in over 2,000 acres of slopes with 500 inches of powdery snow. The resort is family friendly, and it offers activities for all ages.
