Directed all activities within 200,000 sq. ft. building with 6 different departments (Warehousing & Receiving, Returns, Quality Control, Order Picking & Packing, Multi Pack, and Tailoring). Managed, mentored, and evaluated team of 5 supervisors and 70 employees, reporting to the Facility Director.

Addressed inventory overflow issue by leasing space in a nearby building and co-creating reporting to manage inventory without affecting Operations fulfillment and visibility for Merchandising and Accounting.

Controlled inventory movement and reporting, shipments to Reno facility, vendor interactions, and product movement during shutdown/transition operations over a 1.5-year period, allowing decommissioning to take place to meet lease expiration. Additionally managed transition of clean room inventory to Georgia.

Manager, ARAMARK / WEARGUARD - North East Rental Distribution Center & Warehouse Operations, 1996-2007

Oversaw Warehousing, Clean Room, and North East Distribution Center for Aramark Rental (servicing 6 N.E. Market Centers), representing 200,000 sq. ft. distribution facility and rental replenishment operations. Directed supervisor and 23 employees in the NEDC as well as 3 supervisors and 30 employees in the warehouse, receiving $90 million in products from vendors at peak. In charge of annual budgeting and daily/weekly/monthly reporting on service, cost, quality, and fulfillment. Managed inventory, shipping/receiving, packaging/labeling, and all other product activities.

Implemented series of improvements over an 11-year period that led to cost reductions, productivity improvements, and quality excellence on $150 million in processed sales and $30 million in inventory.

Implemented 3rd shift within warehouse that improved service, reduced need for capital expenditures on forklift equipment, and expedite activities on next-day replenishment needs.

Contributed to 20% cost reduction and stabilization of workforce through change in workflow layout and addition of incentive system to increase productivity.

Worked with IT to develop system method for identifying buy-to-back-order product at receiving stations and directing to picking areas, eliminating delays and reducing time to customer by average of 2 days. Managed 2 companies concurrently: King Size, with mail order sales of $25 million, and E.T. Wright, with sales of $8 million. Led team of 5 supervisors and 60 employees (reporting to the President of King Size), administered annual budget, and oversaw all day-to-day operations from receipt of product to shipping.

Managed sale of the business in 1996 to Brylane, coordinating movement of inventory with zero service interruptions and handling the elimination of positions with tact, compassion, and professionalism.

Reduced costs 10% on corrugated through annual usage quotes and bulk purchasing. Developed and implemented gain sharing incentive program to reward employee performance; implemented Excel spreadsheet labor tracking to improve labor costs.

Eliminated need for active pick locations, optimized space utilization, reduced costs for bi-annual physical inventory by $2,500, and created ultimate inventory control as the physical inventory swing dropped from $30,000 to zero through collaboration with IT on active overstock pick program within order fulfillment system.

Initially hired as Picker and earned promotion to Lead within 5 months and Supervisor at end of 1st year. Oversaw 1st shift picking operation for 2 years, managed Retail Inventory Control Department for 2 subsequent years (overseeing physical inventories of 100 retail stores), and supervised Retail Replenishment area for 2 years.

Reduced time for physical inventory from 8 to 4 hours, decreased costs by 25%, and improved accuracy by 20%.
