INFORMATION FOR SPONSORS AND TRADE STAND HOLDERS AUTUMN DRESSAGE FESTIVAL AND FREESTYLE TO MUSIC CHALLENGE

12th and 13th April 2014 State Equestrian Centre

Brigadoon, Western Australia Incorporating the Spooks Sparkling High Tea

The organisers and SEC Events Inc. are proud to present to the equestrian public the 2014 Autumn Dressage Festival and Freestyle to Music Challenge. The event was successfully introduced in 2013 and, as organisers, we were thrilled and delighted at the strong support we received from riders, spectators, sponsors and other stakeholders.

We believe that the changes introduced to Autumn Dressage Festival in 2013 promoted a fun but professional atmosphere to the weekend which encouraged greater participation and engagement of competitors and spectators alike.

For those that are new to the Event format - on Saturday 12th April 2014, horses and riders of all levels and abilities will be in action across the extensive grounds of the State Equestrian Centre including the Indoor and C Quest arenas and the grass surfaces.

We expect to welcome approximately 2 2 0 competitors on the day who will complete an estimated 350 to 400 tests. With the competitors and their horses will come support crew, family and interested spectators swelling numbers on the ground towards an estimated total of 6 0 0 or above. In 2013 – the trade stand village (located for the first time at the front of the State Equestrian Centre) was buzzing with riders and spectators. The car park was filled to capacity and the public were forced to park outside along Cathedral Avenue – something unprecedented for a dressage event in Western Australia prior to this Event.

On Sunday 21st April 2013 the action will be focused on the Indoor arena and its immediate surrounds as competitors and their wonderful horses dance to music for the spectators and vie to be crowned winners of the overall Challenges at each level.

Freestyle to music is an increasingly popular spectator sport as was evidenced by the emotional and sell out crowds who gathered to enjoy the spectacle of the final day of competition at the London Olympics in 2012. In 2013 – we were delighted to present approximately 90 freestyles in various arenas and each competitor who completed their routine received a commemorative sash in appreciation of their event. Several tears were shed by riders who had previously not been lucky enough to receive an award in their competition career to date. We were delighted.

We are confident that our Sunday freestyle to music programme conducted in conjunction with the Spooks Riding Sparkling High Tea and supported by an extensive trade village offering sensational retail therapy will strike a chord with the equestrian and horse loving public resulting in large spectator numbers. In 2013, the Guinot Pamper Lounge was a

sensation for all who enjoyed fabulous massages and were introduced to some very products particularly relevant to horse people sending their days in the heat and dust. Our wonderful sponsors – Guinot – will return with the Pamper Lounge to support the Spooks Riding Sparkling High Tea in 2014.

The attention of both competitors and spectators will be directed to a dedicated area and this focus will provide sponsors and trade strand operators an excellent commercial opportunity to promote and market their products and/or business.

As organisers, we are keen to encourage long term relationships with our sponsors and are working hard to create an event and atmosphere which will enhance their products and/or businesses and provide excellent value for money for sponsorship support. In 2014 – we have already welcomed Event Partners from 2013 back to the fold. Our thanks to Horseland, Bates Saddles, Dressage WA, Spooks Riding, Hermitage Dressage, Acres Rural Lifestyle Services, Eliva Park and Judy Weber and Robin Allen. Our thanks to these sponsors for their support and belief in this event.

The State Equestrian Centre continues to come alive under the care and guidance of its manager, Elvira Hilton.. The Board of Directors of Equestrian Western Australia are dedicated and determined to achieve long term and positive outcomes to the benefit of all members of the equestrian community.

The benefit of sponsorship of events such as the Autumn Dressage Festival and Freestyle to Music Challenge does not end with the event days – your support is invaluable in assisting to secure the long term viability of Western Australia’s premier equestrian facility and ensuring that Equestrian Western Australia can continue to deliver events to the equestrian public for the enjoyment of all.  Management of the State Equestrian Centre , Dressage WA, the Equestrian Western Australia Board and an event committee led by Heidi Emery, Narelle Helsemans and Elvira Hilton have committed time and resources to develop the scope of this event over a 3 year period – with the ultimate aim of including international presenters in the programme and attracting competition interest from riders based in the Eastern States. In this its second year – we are thrilled to add new and prestigious events to the Schedule in the form of the Horseland Young Dressage Horse and the Dressage WA Young Dressage Pony competitions. These will be exciting competitions showcasing the best up and coming young dressage horses and ponies in Western Australia. We have secured fabulous FEI riders to ride the winners from each group to bring the competitions to what we hope will be a thrilling conclusion in front of spectators in the Indoor Area to conclude the afternoon programme on Sunday 13th April 2014. One of the guest riders will also present a “Masterclass” featuring some of Western Australia’s most successful horse and riders combinations.  If you are satisfied with the results of your sponsorship at this event, we would be keen to discuss special arrangements to secure further sponsorship assistance from you going forward for events such as the State Dressage Championships currently scheduled for October 2014 and the Master Series and its Final – slated for November 2014.  To this end, we are pleased to deliver to you our sponsorship packages for the 2014 Autumn Dressage Festival and Freestyle Dressage to Music Challenge (the Event) but would like to

TRADE STAND/TRADE VILLAGE

THE GOLD TRADE VILLAGE It is our intention to construct an upmarket marquee trade village at the front of the State Equestrian Centre facility to operate during the weekend of the Event. We are confident that the weekend will be a busy one for traders, particularly on Sunday 13th April 2014, when the Event will be conducted only in Indoor arena and we will expect to welcome between 120 to 150 VIP guests to the Spooks Sparkling High Tea function all of whom we have no doubt will be keen to indulge in retail therapy during breaks in the action inside. The Gold Trade Village will be limited to 12/15 members so it will be an exclusive ‘club’ – not to be missed by shop fronts and product sellers alike. In 2014 – the trade village located at the front of State Equestrian Centre was buzzing on both days of the Event and most traders reported that they were satisfied with the response from the public and looked forward to building on their experience in 2014.

We will also locate foods and beverage outlets alongside the trade village for the duration of the Event which we have no doubt will draw spectators from all over the grounds to the area.

Rates for non-powered sites in the GOLD trade village:

3 x 3 marquee $500.00 (ext GST) 3 x 6 marquee $650.00 The costs include an upmarket marquee which will be erected for you by the Event and will be available for you to decorate on the day prior to the commence of the Event. THE SILVER TRADERS AREA We will offer a limited number of trade sites along the grass long side of the International Arena (NOT under the eaves of the Indoor arena) facing towards the Indoor Arena to traders at a rate of $120.00 (exc GST) for the duration of the Event. However, our preference is to encourage traders to take advantage of the atmosphere that will be created in the trade village for the Event, centered around the front of the State Equestrian Centre. Traders in the SILVER area will be allocated an area of 3 x 3 (multiple sites can be purchased by agreement) and will be expected to provide their own shelters and decorations (they must be horse friendly of course).
