4-H Online Enrollment System
Paper enrollment is a thing of the past.
You will not be able to enroll until after
October 1st. If you have any questions
about this please contact the Extension
office. Don’t forget your participation
form is now online. Please be sure to
take time to complete this as well. Your
leaders will have informational bro-
chures available to be of assistance for
the online process.
National 4-H Week
October 7th-14th is celebrated as 4-H
week across the nation. This is a great
time to shine as a 4Her. Take the time
to display the accomplishments and
knowledge you have gained through
your membership in 4-H. Go out into
the community and promote Haskell
County 4-H!!!!
Achievement Banquet
The Haskell County 4-H Achievement Ban-
quet will be held on Saturday, November
10th at 5:30 p.m. at the Haskell County Com-
mercial Building. 4Hers will be awarded for
their accomplishments throughout the whole
4-H year. 4-H families, leaders, volunteers,
and extended family are invited to attend. A
meal will be provided. Please contact your
club leaders if you are willing to help provide
what was assigned to your club. Please re-
member this is a banquet and dress should
be your Sunday best.
4-H County-wide Project Leaders
Do YOU have an interest or knowledge base
in a particular project? Do YOU want to be-
come more involved in your child’s learning
and help other 4-Hers in the process? Haskell
County 4-H is in desperate need of county-
wide project leaders! Many project areas
thrive under the leadership of an adult volun-
teer and/or teen leader. 4-H’ers enrolled in
projects that do not have a project leader are
left to “self-teach” and “self-Study” that top-
ic. Please consider serving in this vitally im-
portant roll. Anyone wishing to do so must
contact the Extension office to become VIP
certified before holding project meetings.

Achievement Pins
What are they? Achievement pins are little awards or goals 4-Hers can work to-wards.
Who can get them? Anyone in the 4-H program can earn achievement pins.
Where can I find the applications? Go to http://www.kansas4-h.org/resources/4-h-library/awards-and-recognition/member-achievement-award.html to find all the pin applications. Feel free to fill them out online or stop by the office to get a hard copy.
Where do I start? If you are new, start at the beginning. Some of the pin levels re-quire lots of effort and some are fairly easy.
Please be sure to complete your applications and return with your completed Rec-ord Book on October 9th.
Achievement Trip Applications
Please complete the forms and return to the office with your completed Record Book by Oct. 9th. The winners are awarded a trip at the end of the year. This year the seniors went to Denver, CO to watch a Colorado Rockies game and the intermediates and junior went to Wichita to the new dinosaur park and nerf gun wars!
