Due November 27th- Only 2 weeks!Worth 10 marks (from a project total 100)1 Poster per group needed

Format

The poster should act as an extension of your teaser trailer

This means that all people & places featured on the poster should be from the trailer (but not necessarily in the same poses or scenarios)

There are some posters that are a little more artistic, but again this should only be done if it fits with your film

Must be evident that you adhere to the regulations of film posters

Design the poster with pencil and paper first, using film influences as a starting point.

Tomorrow we will discuss blog requirements and Photoshop aspects.

Your blog must continue to track the progress of your production when designing and constructing your poster and magazine front cover.

You will be expected to cover the following areas with relation to your poster:

Blog Expectations (2)

- Influences: can look at posters of teaser trailers but also posters that you find especially unique in terms of design

- Confirm your target audience and how they will be targeted by your poster. This should also include your selling point (i.e. genre, star)

- Scans of your initial designs with some contextual information

- Potentially interesting progress reports/rough ‘draft’ copies with some contextual information

- Your finished poster- (Evaluation will be done with the other parts of the

coursework)

Poster Terminology

Tag line: Catchy, short phrases used by marketers to advertise and sell a movie

Credits: Names of cast & crew at the bottom of many movie posters

Title: Title of the film- usually in big lettering

Release Date: when the film will be released

(Star Credits: Often above or just below the title in bigger font)
