I made the following edits on the program Photoshop…
The Front Cover...
How I Edited The Front Cover...
• How I edited this image:• Inserted image of Matt (top left)• Inserted image of Scott (top right)• Inserted image of Kat (bottom left)• Inserted image of Ed (bottom right)• Used the ruler tool to crop images down to size and
correctly level into four even sections.• Changed the brightness and contrast so the images were
brighter.• Used the “cut out” tool to makes the members look like
cartoons.• Painted orange over the singer’s hair to make it more
vibrant. I then changed the luminosity.• I then used the same technique to change the colour of
each of the member’s eyes to make them stand out and shaded in the top of Matt’s head so that he did not look out of place.
Continued...• After I was happy with the members I added a white window
border to the whole piece using the “select” and “fill” tools.• Next I copied the text off of the logo design and pasted it on. • I erased the lines surrounding the text.• I then resized the text and placed it in the middle.• I added a layer of black using the “paint” tool so that the Fire
Drive Tiger stood out more.• I then logged onto www.dafont.com and chose a font I
thought would be suitable for the “Let Me Hook Up With Your Brother”.
• I copied and pasted this into the document and resized.• Next I imported the image of the tiger.• I resized the head.• Changed the opacity.
The Inside Left Cover...
How I Edited The Inside Left Cover...
• I uploaded the band image• Used the “plaster” tool to get rid of any blemishes.• I changed the brightness and contrast until we were more vibrant.• I then changed the colour to sepia but made it a red sepia by using the
colour wheel.• I then moved Ed to the left as there was too much of a gap I did this using
the “select” tool.• I also used the same tool to make Scott shorter so that the image
appeared more symmetrical.• I then filled in the layers above and below the image with orange. Next I
inserted the title Fire Drive Tiger and changed the opacity. • Using the “erase” tool I cut out the Fire Drive Tiger from the faces of the
members.• The I inserted the text “Let Me Hook Up With Your Brother” from the image
above and used the “fill” tool to turn it red.• I then finally used the “paint” tool to drag a layer of black behind the
bottom text. This made it stand out more against the orange.
The Inside Right Cover...
How I Edited The Inside Right Cover...
• I copied and pasted the above image into Photoshop.• I used the “magnetic cut-out” tool to cut the head away
from the background.• I then changed the size of the image and stretched it
horizontally using the “select” tool.• Next using the “cut-out” tool I changed the colours of the
tiger but found it was still too dark.• I then used the “paint” tool and selected an orange I liked
to colour over the darker bits. I then changed the luminosity of this so that it blended with the picture.
Continued...
• I then spent some time using the above tool and worked on the tiger face until I liked the colouring and the use of the black stripes.
• I also changed the colour of the eyes to make them more intensifying.
• When I was satisfied, using the “shape” and the “fill” tool I created a red circle around the tiger face.
• I then “filled” the remaining space with black.• Then using the same www.dafont.com I selected the “Top
Secret” font and copied and pasted “Fire Drive Tiger”. • I then positioned this font using the “select” tool.
The Back Cover...
How I Edited The Back Cover...
• First I uploaded the photography Amy and I took and opened it into Photoshop.• I then used the “magnetic cut-out” tool to cut off the left arm that was sticking out. • I then used the “plaster” tool to get rid of any blemishes.• Next I changed the brightness and contrast on the image so that the colours were
more vibrant. • I then used the “paint” tool to go over the hair and the eyes to make the colours
more vibrant and then changed the luminosity to blend them.• Next I used the “paint” tool again to go around the outline of the body and create a
shadow.• Again using the luminosity tool to make the pain blend.• I then used the “colour selection” tool to change the greens and reds in the dress to
whites and oranges. This made it go better with the background I wanted.• Next using the “fill” tool I created an orange background and then imported the
image of the tiger.• I positioned the tiger using the “select” tool and then changed the opacity to make it
more subtle.• Next I used the same font for the “Fire Drive Tiger “ title as was on the logo and used
the “fill” tool to turn it black.• Next I went onto www.dafont.com and copied and pasted the text for the track listing
and again used the “fill” tool to make it black.• I then used the “blending options” tool to make the text glow so it stood out from the
background.• Finally I copied and pasted a barcode and small print from another CD back cover on
www.google.com and used the “select” tool to position them where I wanted.
The Advert...
How I Edited The Advert...• First I imported the image of the band I had used on the left insert page
and pasted it at the bottom of the page.• I then decided to change the vibrancy to make the image stand out more.• Next I went onto www.dafont.com and font a suitable font similar to the
logo font and copied and pasted “Fire Drive Tiger” onto the page.• I then imported the image of the front page and using the “select” tool I
resized it until I liked the positioning.• I then used the “text” tool on Photoshop and wrote “Our Monday”. • When I was happy with the font I used the “fill” tool to make it orange.• I also used the “blending options” to make the text stand out from the
page.• I then imported the same text from the front cover and resized it to fit the
page.• I then imported the tiger logo and changed the opacity and resized it so it
looked right on the page.• Finally I used the “erase” tool to cut the background off the bodies and
faces of the band image.
