Greek monsters are often hybrids (beasts composed of different parts from different creatures) Design your own Greek Mythological hybrid to act as your companion. Create a magic wand to control your creature! There are lots of tutorials online for how to do this including this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7SQaa88WQY Chopsticks, a garden stick, kebab sticks or even a pencil or pen make a great basic model. Then, you can use string, material and anything else to create different effects. Many of the tutorials use a hot glue gun to add texture; however, you can use other glue to wind string and material around which also works well- as well as tape. If you do use a hot glue gun, make sure you have permission to use it and some supervision! A coating of paint and even some glitter should finish it off. If you don’t have any materials then you can always design your wand on paper to make at a later date. Once you have created your wand, you could also create an exhibit label explaining what powers the wand has so that once you return to the current time, The British Museum can display it along with the other artefacts from Ancient Greece.

- Create your own Greek God or Goddess and write a story about them. - Create Top Trumps cards. This could be for the Greek Gods & Goddesses or the creature you designed. - Imagine that you used the time travel machine and recount what happened. - Create a Geek mask depicting one of the characters / gods or monsters from Ancient Greek times. - Create a diorama of a Greek monster’s lair. - Have a go at the maths task on the next page.
