Airport Transportation / AccessTravel to Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa is a seamless affair. Nearby Vilanculos Airport can be reached via a direct two hour flight from Johannesburg with Airlink or via Maputo on Mozambique Airlines. The short island hop to our private island is a mere 15 minute flight from Vilanculos Airport with Solenta.

Currency The Metical (MZM) is the official currency of Mozambique. All resorts, hotels and most souvenir shops accept major credit cards, including Visa and Master Card. The most frequently used foreign currency is the US Dollar and almost all items are priced in US Dollars.

Climate The island’s warm tropical climate ranges from a pleasant 20 to 30 degrees Celsius year round. Rainy season, from November to March, brings a steep rise in humidity that is refreshed by the ocean breeze. More comfortable temperatures and less rain make April and May ideal times to visit, followed by drier warm weather lasting until October.
