Executive Summary

The AF Cloud Platform is simplifying the way how companies are implementing their reporting and data

analytics tasks. The AF Cloud Platform is an entire cloud-based software service. Customers of the AF Cloud

Platform can intuitively load their various data / content into the AF Cloud Platform.

By means of turn-key reporting templates the AF Cloud Platform turns quickly data into analysis. After the

initialization of the reporting process of a customer, the AF Cloud Platform comes with zero maintenance

for the customer. There is no need to employ special reporting / Business Intelligence (BI) specialists. New

customer data will be continuously uploaded to the customers Data Warehouse. All the customer data will

be stored long-term in its own, private and highly secured Data Warehouse Storage.

The AF Cloud Platform is build-up of a proven technology stack und is using state of the art data loading,

transformation and reporting technology.

All technical details are fully transparent for our customers. So, our customers do not need to worry about

their reporting process anymore. The AF Cloud Platform is doing this task for them. Our customers can

focus on their business growth.

Customers of the AF Cloud Platform will base their business decision process on highly integrated and

harmonized KPIs.

Our Customers Reporting “Challenges”

Many companies are facing serious issues with their reporting process. Very often there are inconsistent

reports, mainly created within Excel, stored on various places, and distributed all-over the company. These

“Excel” reports are not showing harmonised business data. None are these KPI’s consistently defined over

the company, sometimes not even the basic KPI’s, like number of real customers, or number of customer

orders are clearly defined. The various source systems of a company are not integrated into a single point

of truth. Very often companies are struggling with a shortage of reporting / Business Intelligence (BI)

knowledge and resources. These specialized BI resources are a very rare “species” and costly.

The reporting creation process is also very time consuming. It is not unusual that companies are investing

a couple of man days every reporting period (mainly monthly) to create these “Excel” based reports. This

could be even more critical if the company must obey regulatory duties. This task is holding valuable

analyst resources, from focusing an analysing the data, and make good business decisions.

Very often companies are not sufficiently sharing these reports to all management levels. These reports

could not be easily consumed. Sometimes these reports are only available as printed version. Other

The above figures describe management reports (Dashboards) of typical retail industry data. One of the

core concepts of the reporting templates is to keep it simple. Based on best practice, less information on

a report is more easily understandable by the report consumers. This should help not to end up with

overloaded reports.

AF Cloud Platform Architecture

The following sub-section provides a brief introduction to the technical architecture of the AF Cloud

Platform. The following figure is highlighting the basic design concepts of the AF Cloud Platform. The AF

Cloud Platform covering the entire value-added chain.

The AF Cloud Platform is built up by four main components:

AF Console – A Web based management Console for configuration. This is mainly designed for admin

use only.

AF Drive – The “Landing Area” of the customer data. Could be imagined as customers data “DropBox”.

Any new customer data uploaded to the AF Drive will be automatically synchronized and instantaneously

uploaded into the AF Core.

AF Core – The “Long Term Memory” Single Point of Truth. Long term storage of the customers

integrated and harmonized data.

AF Reporting – Reporting and analytics area. Consumers and business analysts are accessing this module

and retrieve their information.

All AF modules can be configured in a way of separate dedicated Cloud environments.

The AF Console can run separately of the AF Core or the AF Reporting.

AF Data Security

Data Security is from highest concerns within the AF Cloud Platform.

All data communication is encrypted. Common industry standards are used, therefore. E.g. HTTPS | SSL.

Every AF customer gets his own dedicated AF Cloud Storage, where only the customer has access to. All

data within the AF Core (customer Data Warehouse) is encrypted, so that not even admins could access

the raw data.

All accesses to the AF Core data will be traced and logged.

The AF Cloud Platform is continuously monitoring data and access security.

The AF Console will include a two-way factor authentication process.




AF Service Offerings

Based on the Basic Module the customers can choose either the Standard or the Advanced option.

The AF Cloud Platform service offering always includes an initialization workshop. This should enable any

company and their employees to get the most out of the AF Cloud Platform.

There is also a 30-days free trial offer. New customers can explore the capabilities of the AF Cloud Platform.

This free trial also includes an initialization workshop.

If the customers are satisfied after the end of the free trial period, the entire customer configuration can

be reused within a Standard or Advanced subscription of the AF Cloud Platform. Standard or Advanced

subscriptions will be per 12 months.

There is an extra fee for the AF Cloud Basic Modules. The fee is depending on the data volume (necessary

cloud storage) and the number of report users and reporting functionality.
