2 INTRODUCTION Today, internet gives everybody the floor sharing information. With the Web 2.0, there is not only one information provider and some information consumers but some individual information sources for some information consumers. Sources can be:

Individual blogging, Individual communication through People Social Networks, Personal websites, Sharing video (Youtube), Slides (SlideShare), Forums, Specialized Communities, User’s point of view (comments after an article).

A good internet rating is not today synonymous with an “expensive compaign”, it is quite the opposite. Today, with the direct marketing and advertising rejections, internet browsers are more in search of individual experiences and feedback than “The” nice, positive, better, Corporate message. In the High Technology domain such as Electronic, Computer, the internet information source takes the place of the information source on paper or CD/DVDROM media. Internet is today a “Information Highway”. Each country has its National Library, the Worldwide Multi-domain Library being Internet. Accordingly, internet user activity trend is strongly a real reflect how, where, when a “product” (in the broad sense of the word) is followed by the internet community. Thus, the global activity for a “product or service” cannot be just measured around the Company’s website but through a larger number of information sources. This internet rating has been extracted from Google search engine. With this method, results are true to internet users. The scattering of the information does not have any impact on results. This is not the case for a simple website rating analysis. What is the size order for each graph in this document: Data on Y-axis are relative to the highest data curve. In this presentation all Y-axis are Tegra score relative equal to 1,000,000 internet search requests. This number of requests has been reached by the Tegra in W46-2011 period. Therefore, 100% is equal to 1,000,000 internet user’s searches. IMPORTANT: We have been scrupulous to avoid any mix-up about the use of keywords. Each time, we checked, for a specific keyword, all results were fully in accord with our domain. For example, the use of the ARMADA keyword only was not possible (ARMADA music, ARMADA skis, the Spanish Armada…). To avoid such error, we have coupled ARMADA with Marvell in first step. In second step, we had also added NVIDIA with Tegra, Texas Instruments or TI with OMAP… in order to get quite similar for resulting information at method level. Let’s see together…

3 COMPARATIVE TRENDS SINCE 2004 As the starting point of this presentation, the Figure 1 shows a comparative overview of the OMAP, Tegra, Snapdragon, ARMADA and iMX internet rating scores since 2004. Quickly, OMAP series is the oldest device family than others. Tegra and Snapdragon catch on fastly. Tegra was immediately at the same popular level than OMAP. About ARMADA and iMX, it seems the internet popular level keeps very low. On Figure 2, we had the trend line for each device family. The Tegra trend line is two time higher than the Snapdragon. In the same time, since 2004, OMPA trend is continuously decreasing.

4 2004-2012 INTERNET ACTIVITY ABOUT THE TEGRA PRODUCTS Page 1- Figure 1 shows the activity level of the NVIDIA product through the “Tegra” keyword on the worldwide internet. The rating level is around of 1 million search request by web users. It seems a NVIDIA’s communication article called “NVIDIA QUAD-Core Tegra 3 Chip Sets New Standard of Mobile Computing Performance, Energy Efficiency” touch off a crisis. The NVIDIA roadmap announceement Tegra Roadmap enhances the activity growth on internet. Just during this week 20-26 November 2011, up to 320,000 requests have been generated around “Tegra AND NVIDIA”. The graph Page 2 - Figure 2 shows the activity trend line since 2004. I remember 100% on Y-axis represents one million of request, therefore, the slope ratio is around +85,000 requests/year. As you can see, it is the highest versus OMAP, SNAPDRAGON, ARMADA or iMX. Figure 3 : To make easier and explain popularity spikes I linked these “hotspot” to the special event which could be the source of the internet activity growth. Just click on smile.

5 TOP SEARCHES FOR TEGRA The first Tegra product has been announced around April 2008 (see “NVIDIA Readies Major Product Launch of Tegra”). Instead of OMAP product lines, Tegra can be considered like an young product (you can already find OMAP Mobile Processors in 1996 on internet). The Tablet market arises in december 2009 just one year after the Tegra kick-off. During 1 year internet activity was around Tegra and phone but with the annoucement of Tegra 2, in the same time the Tablet market arises. Today, the highest number of request is around Tegra 2.

6 2004-2012 INTERNET ACTIVITY ABOUT THE OMAP PRODUCTS As said previoulsy, the OMAP product series are the oldest than other devices on this study. As we see on Figure 5, the OMAP trend line is vaguely negative. It seems the higher rating score (end of september 2011) is due to a negative communication. Archos is blaming “delays” from Texas Instruments as the reason they are not seeing the faster OMAP dual-core chips and will most likely not see the new units some time in 2012. Now, in short time (19th september 2011) “Ice Cream Sandwich ‘confirmed’ release in Oct., OMAP first to bat” (http://www.talkandroid.com/61471-ice-cream-sandwich-confirmed-release-in-oct-omap-first-to-bat/#.T158MjFbrWk).

7 TOP REGIONS FOR SNAPDRAGON The Figure 6 shows from where internet users are the most active according to each device. I intentionally limit this paragraph around countries but I could be more accurate by speaking about the city acitivity. Nei-Hu (Taiwan) is the city which has the largest number of internet requests about the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon products. At Taiwan, the best internet rating for OMAP is in Chu-Tung, Nei-Hu being at the second rank. Today, the begining of 2012, Taipei is the top one city for the Snapdragon and keeps very high for the Tegra. In Russia, there is not several regións and cities, the highest internet leve lis at Moscow for Snapdragon and OMPA.
