Analysis of various snags Snag about the DART Engine the DART Engine has been withdrawn from service due to various snags. The snags listed below are found be repetitive and most of the withdrawal are caused due to these snags. Low Oil Pressure High TGT/Low Power Unusual Noise Turbine Blade failure Torque Fluctuation and other torque related snags. Shim failure Metal contamination in oil system Low Oil Pressure it is an oil system (lubrication system) snag. The oil is made to flow through various passages for the purpose of Torque-meter Indication System, propeller pitch control system and for lubrication of bearings, gears. Every system is supplied with oil to all the system.When pressure decreases, oil starvation occurs at various sub system leading to catatrophic effect.The main causes for low oil pressure are:- Deterioration of oil pump Worn out of plain bearing journals/bushes Faulty Relief Valve Assembly Deterioration of O seal. High turbine gas temperature and low power the hot air from combustion chamber is made to flow into the turbine assembly to drive the turbine. The temperature of this hot gas is maintained at a specified value for the safe operation of the engine. When this value exceeds the limit,
