ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE?

Male Female

I used this question to have a look at the difference between the genders and see how the audience would see the questions in different ways. This would then help me decide what content to put in the magazine so I can have both genders happy with the content within.

I have decided to use the age to see what my main target audience would prefer. This would then tell me what the audience would want to read and how the content in the magazine is laid out.

This was a key part of my questionnaire. This is because it has decided how often my magazine would be published. Based on the information they have given me I should publish my magazine monthly.

WHO ARE YOUR FAVOURITE BANDS? PICK 3

Sales

Green Day The Kooks Bring Me The Horizen The vaccines The WHO AC DC Led Zeplin Pink Floyed Metallica The Rolling Stones Stone Roses Foo Fighters Guns and Roses

I asked this question to help me see what the best bands are to put in my magazine. This would help me design the front cover as I can put the head lines of the bands on the front cover. I can also add the bands names in to the contents page. I asked people if there favourite band wasn’t there I put an other section these included: The Gaslight Anthem, Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Courteeners, Oasis, Artic Monkeys. These other answers have helped me realise the wide range of bands there are and that I can have many different headlines.

I asked this question to see what colours I should use together. This would help me decide the over all colour scheme of the magazine and help draw the people in as it has the eye catching colour scheme they have suggested to me. This could also help me create a house effect through out the magazine.

This would then hopefully get people to buy the magazine as the best thing to give away is on offer. I have then decided to pick to put free tickets in to the puff to try and maximise the sales.

DO YOU PREFER A BUSY OR ORGANISED LAYOUT ON THE FRONT COVER?

Busy Organised

I asked this question so it would tell me how to set most of my magazine out. It has helped me decide to use a organised layout through out the magazine as people have made it clear this is what they want.

£2-£3 £3-£4 £4-£5 £5+

This was an important question as it would decide how much my magazine was. I had all ready thought that I wanted a monthly magazine, but didn’t know how much to ask people to pay. This question has made me decide on the £3-£4 area as this was one of the main picked answers from the questionnaire.

This question was needed to help me layout my front cover. I asked the people to pick 2 answers. This is because I needed more than one thing on my front cover and needed a mean number of answers so I would know what should be the main things to pull the audience in to my magazine.

This helped me decide on the content and lay out of the contents page. This should attract more people to the magazine as the target audience have decided what the content would be. As the most picked the use of sub headings will be added. Also as the results show I’m going to use 3 columns of writing to show its not too much but not to less content.

I asked this question to get the overall content of the magazine. This would also help me in creating my contents page as I would put ‘gig info’ as one of my headlines to draw people in.

This was one of the most important questions. I had thought of some possible names for my magazine. The use of this question meant I could have a better understanding of what the audience wants the magazine to be called. This would then hopefully draw them in to the magazine more as it has an eye catching name that they have helped picked.
