They design and manufacture PLASTIC ARTICLES, TUBES, BOTTLES AND CAPS.

The industry process wide range of plastic products like PVC, HDPE, LDPE, PET. Etc.

They follow BUSINESS TO BUSINESS POLICY and they are supplying there finished products (like thermo caps, plastic bottles, etc) to other Industries like VLCC, MEDIKER and HISDUSTAN UNILEVER Pvt. Ltd

There are 15 machines in the industry,

The company has approx. of 40 employees and the machine to labour

The industry’s main raw material is POLYPROPYLENE(random copolymer), which is supplied by RELIANCE INDUSTRIES Ltd.,

The industry is spread over 27,000 sq. ft of area.

The industry which is established in Dehradun has received many benefits from the governments like:

100% Central excise exemption for 10 years, 100% income tax exemption for the first 5 years

and 30% for the next year, Capital investment subsidies at the rate of 15%

with the maximum of Rs. 30 lakh.

TECHNOLOGYThe industry consists of 15 fully automated machines which includes • 1 AIR DRYER• 2 COOLING TOWERS• 3 CHILLERS• 380 KV DG SET for power backup.• 1 MOULDING MACHINE• 1 WELDING MACHINE• 1 SURFACE GRINDER• 1 DRILL MACHINE• 2 LATHE MACHINE• 5 COMPRESSORS

The industry is using JQ-R1 series machines and compressors are of ELGIPET (ELG1) HORIZON. The air compressor creates a pressure of 24kg/cm2 and it varies for different type of products.The machines produces/crafts bottles, tubes, caps and plastic jars.

PROCESS OF EXTRUSION

The process begins with the heating of warm or hot extrusion . Then the material is loaded into the container in the press. In the press a dummy block is placed behind it where the ram then presses on the material to push it out of the dye. Afterward the extrusion is stretched in the order to straighten it and finished goods are formed that are plastic bottles, tubes, jar etc.

OBSERVATION The industry is situated at a prosperous place, and having their own warehouse itself in the industry which reduces the cost of transportation,

The industry have capital intensive approach,

The industry consists of 75% machines and 25% labour work,

They recycle their waste and defective materials.

The capacity of PAD printing machine is 1.8 lakh per day.

The capacity of PET blow machine is 12000 per day.

The capacity of injection moulding machine is 1 to 4 lakh.

Suggestion

They should extend their supply chain out of Uttrakhand also,

They should shift from single vendor to multi vendor system,

They must reduce their rest time of machine to increase the productivity.
