ANALYSING
IMAGESBy Daniel Youll
MY SECOND IMAGE
IS ANYTHING IN THE TOP LEFT TO BE
NOTICED FIRST?
The thing that should be noticed first is the stone tower in the top
left, this is the subject of the picture.
IS THERE ANYTHING TO BE NOTICED
LAST IN THE BOTTOM LEFT?
There is a big rock with shells growing around it, this isn't really a big
focal point but it is there to be noticed last
IS THERE A LOGICAL SEQUENCE TO
THE WAY THE VIEWER IS GOING TO
PERCEIVE DIFFERENT ELEMENTS OF
THIS PHOTO?The viewer notices the tower first, then the sky behind and around it.
They then notice the middle of the photo going down to the closest
and most detailed rock. Then they look across the water to the other
rocks.
WHY DO YOU THINK THIS PICTURE
WAS TAKEN?
I think this picture was taken to show off an area and bring light to a
seldom visited place
WHERE COULD YOU SEE THIS
APPEARING?
I could see this in a travel magazine because it shows a nice part of
an area.
HOW DO YOU THINK DIFFERENT
AUDIENCES WOULD REACT TO THIS?
I think most people would admire the scenery in the photo
