What impression are they intended to give? What feelings, actions or beliefs are they trying to provoke? Try to use the word reader in this part of the paragraph. (see p55 of booklet) CONCLUSION OPTIONS OPTION 1 : A holistic overview of the impact of each text You should not address every technique or argument You summarise the overall impact Do not repeat what you have explained in your paragraphs Sum up with different language and focus on the impact or impressions the texts create OPTION 2 : a comparison of how each text ends (p 57 of booklet)

Body Paragraphs

Each body paragraph should introduce the text’s key reason, discuss language including quotations and identify the likely impact of particular techniques on the audience.

The first section of a body paragraph Establishes the focus for the paragraph Explains the writer’s first reason for their view (see p54 of chapter booklet)
