GAA Ticket Office
Providing regional ticketing support to all County Boards in 4 key areas:
1. Pre-Match Ticketing
• Preparation: Centrally allocating tickets over to Counties via the online ticketing application (AKA ‘SAM’).
• Promotion: Encouraging County Boards to push Pre-Sales (at all levels; Secretaries, Treasures, PRO’s etc.
• Purchase through club and County Board online or in selected SUPERVALU or CENTRA stores
• Reconciliation: Guiding counties in successfully managing their financial reports using ‘SAM’.
• Upskilling County Board Officials on ‘SAM’ capabilities (customer account management and information storage, filing invoices/receipts etc.)
2. Overseeing the GAA Season Ticket
• Preparing the data for (and guiding) County Board Officials in uploading/downloading/operating the hand held scanners.
• Tracking Season Ticket holders match day attendance in amalgamation with the specific County Boards.
3. Bosca and Scanner Support
• Each County Board has been issued ‘Boscas’ from the GAA Ticket Office.
• Training and Upskilling in the maintaining and operating (features/capabilities) of the ‘Bosca’ is conducted annually via the GAA Ticket Office.
• In some cases, County Board visits are arranged in order to train up a new County Board official or to troubleshoot/solve equipment problems - should they arise.
3. Bosca and Scanner Support continued:
• Bosca use is essential during the League and Championships campaigns, and all secretaries and treasurers are encouraged to use them correctly.
• In recent years, Bosca use has shown substantial increases in club gates within counties.
• Correct use of the Bosca – especially in the area of ‘Bosca’ receipts (gate receipts) - is imperative in accordance with GAA Finance Dept. regulations.
4. Match Day Support
• The GAA Ticket Office will try to have a facilitator present at large attendance fixtures such as provincial semi-finals and finals nationwide.
• County Board, Online + Centra and SuperValu store sales are taken into consideration and will determine attendance prediction. This will be monitored via ‘SAM’ centrally here in Croke Park.
• Communication between the County board and GAA Ticket Office is imperative in the lead up to a fixture as the following decisions will need to be determined:
A. Scanner numbersB. Ticket collection points C. Supplementary ‘Boscas’ - collection/deliveryD. Personnel on duty (Tickets.ie and GAA Ticket Office support staff)
