On the evening of Oct. 22, 1989 Jacob, his brother and a friend were returning from a video rental store when confronted by a masked man. The boys were ordered to lay down in a ditch. After asking their ages the two other boys were told to leave or risk getting shot. 11 year-old Jacob has not been seen since.
