Major observations
Need of proper infrastructure for library automation and Internet connectivityLimited fund allocation to medical / health science librariesInadequate training courses in medical librarianship
Suggestions
A special financial grant from Government of India Access to HINARI to be extended in association with WHO to empower health and biological information resources in India. A policy on establishing Institutional repositories to be made as mandatory in all health science institutes in India Major health science journals and databases to be subscribed with countrywide license. Consortia model subscriptions should be eased by publishers. Advanced training course in Health Librarianship to be introduced in all Universities
