Lessons learnedFollow and exploit FESTA handbook especially its Implementation plan (Annex)Distribute early the responsibilities (marketing, maintenance, etc..)Enforce harmonisation of data loggers and data formatsWhen selecting vehicles and drivers: Be carefull of creating biased experiments or at least document them to take them into account in data analysisDo not underestimate the piloting time Plan on vehicle and installation delays Expect driver drop outs and plan to interact with them Be carefull of bad publicity – clear information is keyDo not understimate the importance of the incentives, take care of all of its aspects during the planningLegal and ethical issues should be investigated and settled before the driver and vehicle recruitment startsThere is no successful driver recruitment without the full support of the OEMs marketing departmentUse a multitude of implementation of subjective data gathering (hard copy, web-based, interviewing)Use of professional customer care service is adviceable
