Benefits of iPods to Support Instruction:Curriculum and novels often available on

audio cds or as downloads from iTunes to support struggling to advanced readers who would like to read beyond their current independent level, auido should be paired with the actual text.

Fluency practice: students voice record read alouds, then self-evaluate and rerecord for extra practice

Fluency readings can be sent directly to teacher as a sound file for later review or as a record for fluency improvement over time

motivate young writers, continue to teaching importance of writing to an audience and following high standards for grammar, spelling and content
