ABOUT US

Catalysis is a student activity that is mostly concerned with seeding

and nurturing certain values and methodologies in the mentalities of

engineering students. In Catalysis, we have noticed a gap that is

widening between the students and science and how the current

mentality is to focus totally on soft skills while completely ignoring

science. We took it as our responsibility to balance things and to make

sure that both sides  – soft skills and science- are equally important to

students. We believe that Science alone without Values and morals

won't make us reach our vision. That’s why we are working through

three tracks  – Awareness, Charity and Academic  – to combine Values

with Science. Catalysis is still a young activity with its public launch and first season

taking place in 2010. The success that was witnessed last season

encouraged us to continue this season with even more ambition to

cause a much larger positive effect on engineering society than last

year. And so our Vision remains like last year; to work on developing

engineering students scientifically, intellectually, and socially through

our different committees and events.

Our hope is to see Catalysis an ever growing activity benefiting more

people every year and getting stronger with each success. We believe

that our values of trust, respect, will to learn and teach, and creativity

will guide us all the way to the success we would like to see in

ourselves as an activity and in our country.
