An Interview with Alexis the Travellerby Andrew Makris
Last March, our classmate Alexis (and his brother, Dimitris) visited Qatar for 5 days. When he came back, we interviewed him and this is what he told us:
Qatar is in the Arabian Peninsula and its capital is Doha. People in Qatar speak Arabic. Most of them are Muslim and pray five times a day.
Alexis stayed in Doha. He went there to visit his father. He is in architect but people don’t build many things in Greece now, so he found a job in Qatar. In Qatar, they are building new buildings all the time and most of them are tall.
Alexis went everywhere by car because there is no metro yet. He visited the Islamic Art Museum. In the museum there were armors and, on the second floor, there was an exhibition about women and some of them had moustaches.
Alexis would love to stay in Qatar forever. He had a great time and enjoyed every moment but his favourite moment was when somebody put a parrot on his head.
When he returned to Greece he showed us some pictures and he was very happy about his trip.
Andrew’s article was based on Alexis’s interview.
His classmates asked him a variety of questions and, after the interview…
...each student wrote an article about it.
Thank you, Alex, for sharing your experience
with us.
Thank you, Andrew, for your article.
