Our Aqua Thermal Journey is designed to take you step by step through a range of spa therapies, which gradually increase in temperature. For maximum enjoyment we recommend 2 hours use of the facilities including saunas, steam rooms, heated beds, hydropool, hot tubs and Zen Garden.

Overnight spa break guests may use the facilities as much as they like from check in to check out and benefit from an exclusive hour too.

Enjoy several different hot and cold experiences designed to detoxify, relax and revitalise.

Start your Aqua Thermal Journey with the Aroma Room, infused with delicate and delightful aromatherapy scents. The essential oils will relax and energise as well as boost general wellbeing. Continue to the Aroma Steam Room where aromatherapy essential oils are combined with humidity for increased respiratory benefits, and finish with Monsoon shower or brave a cold shower to boost circulation and tighten skin.

Then move through the Saunarium, set to 65 degrees you’ll truly relax before heading to the Pedidarium for a total foot cleanse and stimulation of reflexology points. Next you’ll enter the Balinese Salt Inhalation Room where the blue coloured chamber slows down the body’s processes reducing levels of anxiety.

Our hottest heat experience is next on the list; the Herbal Sauna allows maximum elimination of toxins from the body and further relaxes your muscles. Sample the outdoor Rustic Sauna to help tone the skin and brave an Ice bucket shower afterwards, if you dare! You can then enjoy the Tepidarium; heated beds for pure relaxation. Included in your Aqua Thermal Journey at no extra cost is the peace and tranquillity of the Zen Garden. Sink into one of the outdoor hot tubs or relax on one of the many loungers overlooking the beautiful countryside. Enjoy an experience shower with body jets and mood changing lighting or unwind in the panoramic Himalayan Salt Sauna. While you’re outside in the Zen Garden, take time to relax with a refreshing drink from our licenced bar too (weather permitting).

Our 100% natural Rasul mud is gently harvested from the glaciers of the Austrian Alps. These detoxifying muds have been used for decades as part of a cleansing ritual combining steam and heat to draw out impurities and remove dead skin cells. After exfoliating with salt, the seasonal fragranced mud is applied to different parts of the body and left to penetrate; across the seasons enjoy everything from peppermint to lemongrass and pumpkin to fig and vanilla. The Mud Rasul is available to book as an addition to your Aqua Thermal Journey package from £30pp (minimum two people) which includes a refreshing seasonal body lotion to take away with you.

Day spa cancellation policy

Full payment must be made at the time of booking for all reservations and appointments. We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or amend individual bookings. We regret we are unable to refund payments. However, if the cancellation is made with 48 hours’ notice, monies paid can be used against a future booking for the lead guest. For Hotel cancellation policy please see full terms and conditions.

Treatments

Never hesitate to ask for a therapist’s advice on which treatments are best for you. We’re here to help and ensure you make the most of your time with us. Please arrive 15 minutes before your treatment, giving you time to complete a simple health questionnaire and to relax before you meet with your therapist. Unfortunately, if you are late for your appointment, this may result in your actual treatment time being curtailed. After your treatment you are more than welcome to use one of our relaxation rooms, to sit or lay back and relax. Choose from either our ‘dark tranquil’ or ‘light countryside view’ rooms. For your own comfort and enjoyment we really recommend you only have a light snack or lunch before having a treatment, rather than a hearty meal. All of our treatments and packages can be booked subject to your medical status.

Gift Vouchers and products

Products can be purchased 365 days a year by calling into The Spa reception and retail area, open 7 days a week from 10am until 8pm. Alternatively, gift vouchers can be purchased at Spa reception or via telephone and online at ribbyhall.co.uk/spa-vouchers. Gift Vouchers expire 12 months after purchase. Products are available from each of our carefully chosen product houses including ELEMIS, NEOM, Jessica, Mii, ishga and GHD.

Advice and Etiquette

We provide lockers, towels and flip flops free of charge for guests enjoying our Aqua Thermal Journey. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel is also provided for guests - these can all be found in the changing rooms. Changing rooms will remain open for 30 minutes after the Aqua Thermal Journey closes. Guests staying overnight in The Spa Hotel will also find a complimentary robe in their wardrobes, please ensure you return your robe to your room before departing, to avoid additional charges.

Swimwear is to be worn in the Aqua Thermal Journey and dry swimwear or suitable underwear is to be worn during all treatments and under robes within all dining areas within The Spa Hotel. We ask clients to consider and respect fellow guests and help maintain the peace and tranquillity of The Spa Hotel. Mobile phones are not permitted within The Spa itself. Drinking alcohol is not permitted in any area inside the journey or the outdoor hot tubs. After you have enjoyed dining, payment in full is required. Please ensure you have your preferred payment method with you. The Zen Garden Bar accepts cash and card and requires payment upfront.
