An ideal place to entertain children and adults alike.

The dramatic colours of Oxfordshire’s county flower, the snake’s head fritillary, are a feature of local fields in springtime.

Look hard and you might also find them just down the road from Clifton Close in Garth Park, where events like either the Teddy Bear's Picnic or a beer festival make it the ideal

place to entertain children and adults alike.

There are plenty of other tree-lined rambles within a short drive, for instance the ancient Stoke Wood and the butterfly filled

Whitecross Green Wood. You can also explore the Bure Park Nature Reserve, with its 25 acres of trails through woodlands

and meadows or Wychwood Forest where large herds of fallow deer roam free.

For the more competitive, Bicester offers a variety of sports; from cricket, football and rugby, to tennis and swimming.

The Bicester Leisure Centre has a pool, fitness and gym facilities, as well as all-weather pitches, while an 18-hole course at the

Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa will challenge the most seasoned golfer. Or you could even try your hand at the traditional

Oxfordshire pub game of Aunt Sally, where you throw sticks at a wooden doll on a metal pole.

The town of Bicester, astride the River Bure, has a history that stretches back over a thousand years, including a renowned bell foundry that supplied

many of the local churches.

Today there is all you need to meet daily needs, as well as a great sense of community. Strolling down ancient Sheep Street to the modern

Pioneer Square you will find a wealth of characterful shops, a multi-screen cinema, food outlets, supermarkets, pubs, bars,

a lively Friday market and more besides.

Travel a mile west of Clifton Close by car or shuttle bus and you arrive at Bicester Village, a luxury shopping destination. With a high street the

same length as Oxford Street, it's home to more than 160 boutiques of world-famous brands with a range of restaurants and cafés

for the perfect shopping experience.

If shopping is not your thing, a mile or so north is the fascinating Bicester Heritage. Located in an old RAF barracks it is

devoted to vintage motoring and aviation.

For culture lovers there is plenty to enjoy in Oxford, including the Ashmolean Museum – the world’s first university museum built in 1678,

as well as The New Theatre, Oxford’s main commercial theatre, which attracts the latest on-stage entertainment.

Whether it is a family get-together in your new

favourite friendly local pub, or treating yourself to something

a little more extravagant, there is something for

every occasion.

Foodies will be delighted at the thought of Raymond Blanc’s two Michelin-starred Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons

being half an hour down the road from Clifton Close. And just outside Oxford there is also Cherwell Boathouse,

an award-winning restaurant on the banks of the River Cherwell, where you can hire a punt to sharpen

your appetite before eating.

Nearer to Clifton Close there is much to enjoy in the area, including local eateries such as The Nut Tree Inn,

The Muddy Duck, and The Chequers, a family friendly, beautiful, thatch roofed pub.

In Bicester and the surrounding area you are truly spoilt for

education choices, with a wide range of schools for all age groups.

Bubbles, Jack & Jill and Courtyard pre-schools are all found in Bicester town centre, within walking distance of Clifton Close. Moving up the age

range, Longfields County Primary is a ten minute walk, and there are almost a dozen other primaries within close distance. There are two

local secondary schools, The Bicester School and The Cooper School, both rated 'Good' in their latest Ofsted inspections.

You will also find some excellent private schools nearby, the nearest being Bloxham School, a co-educational boarding

and day school for 11 to 18 year olds.

In the future, the choice will be even wider, with plans to build a two-form primary school and a secondary school

just to the south of Bicester.

Source: google.co.uk/maps and thetrainline.com. All walking and driving times are from Clifton Close, OX26 6QE. All train times are from Bicester Village Station, except the journey to Birmingham City which is from Bicester North Station.

Of course there will be times when you need to travel futher away

from Clifton Close for work or pleasure, and on those occasions it could not be more convenient.

15 minutes walk away is Bicester Village Station, where you can take the train to Marylebone Station in under an hour. In the other direction,

Birmingham Moor Street is just over an hour away from Bicester North Station.

The town's nearest motorway is the M40, with Junction 9 being Bicester's closest serving junction – taking you north to Birmingham or south to London.

It is also well served by local bus services to Oxford and Banbury, and the long-distance route X5 between Oxford and Cambridge.

For destinations even further afield, you can fly from a choice of three international airports (Luton, Heathrow and Birmingham) all around

50 miles away, while the smaller London Oxford Airport is within 15 miles.

A sympathetic combination of apartments and houses make for plenty of choice

at Clifton Close.

Out of the hustle and bustle of the main town, but just a short walk from the action, sits Clifton Close. The mix of

stone and cream brick façades, landscaped open spaces and a children’s play area, provide an attractive and

enjoyable setting for modern living.

Vanderbilt Homes.

Vanderbilt Homes was founded in 2004 and the company is now recognised as one of the leading independent house builders in and around the home counties. We are extremely proud of the enviable reputation we have built up for excellent quality homes since we

launched our business more than a decade ago. This commitment to quality starts on the drawing board, where we work alongside architects to ensure our homes feature a layout that works for day-to-day, modern living. Everything is taken into

account to ensure utmost convenience for you and your family, from designated parking outside to ample storage space in the home.

Vanderbilt Homes places customers at the heart of its business.

We also work tirelessly to guarantee that all our properties are built and finished to the very highest specifications. This means our customers will benefit from a fantastic blank canvas

on which to create their dream home once they move in. We build homes to delight, creating a welcoming environment you’ll always be happy to return to.

We place customers at the heart of our business. Our company is founded on the belief that the only way to build exceptional homes is by paying the closest attention to detail, from

design and build to the quality of customer service. It is this level of care and attention that makes a Vanderbilt home one to be proud of.

As you would expect from a responsible developer, Vanderbilt Homes cares deeply about the effects construction can have on the environment. We take account of the levels of

carbon dioxide emitted, not only during the building process, but also during the lifespan of each dwelling, building cleaner, greener homes for the future.

In the unlikely event of any problems leading up to a move, Vanderbilt Homes provides a 24-hour helpline to resolve issues as soon as they arise.
