HISTORY OF THE COMPANY PROUD TO BE CELEBRATING OUR 14th YEAR IN BUSINESS! Parsley Pie Art Club was established in 2001. An invaluable light bulb moment for Jenny Bent, a professional artist, dancer and model! Although she went to art college for 3 years, Jenny found her time there frustrating and very restraining, it didn’t suit her one bit! So, Jenny has no degree, no formal qualifications for working with children and no professional business training. She is simply a great businesswoman, highly motivated, with a pure a love of art and a passion for freedom of expression who gets on with all sorts of people, especially kids! In February 2001 Jenny set up Parsley Pie Art Club, firstly because she needed to earn a more regular income as selling paintings and gaining decent commissions was proving to be very hit and miss at times and with a large brood of animals to consider plus bills and food for herself something had to be done! After talking to some of the parents she used to babysit for and other friends and acquaintances, she soon got the feeling that there was a huge niche in the market. Jenny decided that it was her mission to create a place where kids could be kids, let rip, be truly creative and have fun while developing their confidence and skills, she felt was massively lacking in school & college environments. “I wanted give children of all abilities the opportunity to experience total freedom and pure creativity in a studio environment, let them explore their imaginations & experiment with a variety of techniques & mediums & if they made loads of mess, it didn’t matter! I love my job, it’s that simple! I adore getting stuck in, getting messy! My nails are always yucky but I don’t care! I love being an inspiration and guiding kid’s on a path that improves their self esteem and makes them happy! I love the flexibility of my job, the fact I’m not stuck in an office all day every day, the fact I get lots of time off! I love working with kids, it is a major part of the job, which I have come to enjoy more and more over the years, especially as now I am a mother myself, you have an even deeper empathy with them, you want them to feel good about themselves and confident! It’s a truly great experience to get to know children over long periods of time, see them grow and evolve! I love it!”

PARSLEY PIE LESSON PLANS We don’t have them! Creativity is organic and unique! Art is subjective, and means something different to every single person on earth! It can NOT be neatly packaged up!

We want the children who visit our art clubs to have freedom of expression and the teachers too! Not all children want to do the same activity. They don’t want to be treated like sheep, spoon fed, restricted or confined! We cater very much to the individual child, we find out what they like what they would enjoy doing in the classes. We do not dictate to kids who come to Parsley Pie classes & parties, we only encourage them to use their brains, their initiative & imaginations! Our teachers are not restricted by having to follow set lesson plans either, they have the freedom to express themselves and show off their own unique creative flair too! The teachers provide help, inspiration, ideas, support & guidance but the aim is NOT to interfere! We strive to give children as much freedom & space to be themselves as possible! Children also do not want pressure, constant deadlines or some one breathing down their neck every five minutes! The Licensee Operations Manual does give plenty of information about suggested materials & equipment to buy, advice about where to get materials either for free or very cheap and also a guidance for suggested activities & projects. The manual also contains a section that provides links to web sites that give art & craft activity ideas. LICENSE TERM & renewable license The Parsley Pie license term is fixed at 3 years. We are not prepared to hand over all our original ideas, operations manual, business advice and experience and time to help a licensee launch their business unless we have full commitment to the Parsley Pie brand and business system. You will of course have the option to renew at the end of the initial 3 year term It takes at the very least a good 12 months to establish a new business. We believe that a fixed 3 year term is a very fair, sensible and reasonable one and we hope that if you choose to join us, you will be a Parsley Pie Licensee for many years!

PARSLEY PIE MAKES GOOD FINANCIAL SENSE! You pay a set monthly License/management fee. We do not take a monthly or annual % of your turnover/profits, so you always know where you’re up to with your finances! You get unlimited telephone and email support during the first 3 months after your business launch! And after that you get plenty of ongoing support and advice and training Your have a huge target audience! - Pre school, 4+ years, 11+ & teenagers, young adults, adults, over 60’s and your potential market opportunities include – Private group classes, workshops, parties & 121 lessons. You can run term time classes, holiday workshops, do private parties, group classes, 1-2-1 lessons, Arty ladies evenings, community classes, public workshops etc. Parsley Pie is a very flexible business opportunity & you choose what to do to suit you & your customers & potential customers! What you earn will depend on many factors including - - The amount of effort you put in and the amount of time you dedicate to marketing - The area and demographic of where you live/where you will operate your business from - Number of classes you will run per week, how many hours, And to what age ranges - Number of people per hour, how many attendees per week - How many of parties & workshops will you deliver? And to what age ranges - When you work - only during term time? Only in the school holidays? Or will you maximize you potential income and work all year round? - How much you will charge people for classes, parties, workshops - When you will run your classes, day times? Evenings? Both? If you do make the effort, work to our plan and follow our tried and tested business model you could make a very healthy income indeed!
