The Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center, Inc. (HRPAC) is a New Jersey nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding and enhancing the arts in North Hudson. Through its two free concert series, Summer Concerts on the Hudson and the UBS Atrium Series, HRPAC has developed an excellent track record for bringing fine and diverse programming to our region and for sharing its programs with the area’s youth through arts education outreach. Over its twelve year history, HRPAC has presented over a thousand performing artists to many thousands of fans, and even had the honor of featuring many Grammy and Tony Award-winning artists. It has also brought educational programs, free of charge, to thousands of students in eight of Hudson County’s school districts.

The Chart House RestaurantWeehawken, New Jersey
presents
Bria Skonberg is taking the jazz world by storm. Hailing from Chilliwack, British Columbia, and now living in New York City, the award-winning trumpeter, vocalist, and composer was included in DownBeat magazine’s Rising Star Critics’ Poll for 2014 and will make her debut at the prestigious Newport Jazz Festival this summer.
Bria was recently honored with a New York Bistro Award for “Outstanding Jazz Artist” and swept the 2014 Hot House Jazz Magazine awards in all categories in which she was nominated: Best Jazz Artist, Best Trumpeter, Best Female Vocalist, and Best Group.
She has performed as a bandleader and guest artist at over fifty music festivals in North America, Europe, China, and Japan. Since moving to New York in 2010 she has headlined at Symphony Space, Birdland, The Iridium, Dizzy’s, and Café Carlyle. Bria has performed and/or recorded with the likes of Nicholas Payton, Anat Cohen, Scott Robinson, Bucky Pizzarelli, and John Pizzarelli, and has also been featured on Wycliffe Gordon’s projects.
Well known for her knowledge of classic jazz and her musically inquisitive nature, Bria is now creating an adventurous style rooted in New Orleans jazz and blues, world percussion, soul, and cabaret.
Tony DeSare has won critical and popular acclaim for his concert performances around the world. He is a gifted singer and pianist who has three top ten Billboard albums under his belt and been featured on the CBS Early Show, the Today Show, and National Public Radio.
Tony is also an accomplished and award-winning composer who has taken first place
honors in the USA Songwriting Contest and written songs for major motion pictures. His compositions include a wide range of romantic, funny, and soulful tunes that can be found on his top-selling recordings.
The New York Times paid him a huge complement when it wrote: “He is two parts Sinatra to one part Billy Joel, meshed seamlessly.” Just last month, Tony was featured at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops orchestra in a centennial tribute to Frank Sinatra.
