Types of WIA Training Include:

To qualify for training services you must be determined as needing training to do the following:

Retain current employment, or

Gain new employment


Training ServicesHigh School Diploma or GED, WorkKeys Assessment, National/SLED Background Check, Drug Screen

Training is limited to those occupations which fall within the Target Industry Clusters approved in the TWIB Five Year Strategic Plan.If you are approved for training we will need copies of your:Attendance RecordsGrade ReportsCertificate of Completion

grouped together into a category (cluster) and approved by the Trident Workforce Investment Board for training.

Once you have turned in your application you will be contacted by an Eligibility Workforce Specialist at a later date to schedule an appointment. At your scheduled appointment please bring in all your documentation needed for verification.


Complete SCOIS assessments and print-out the results

Fill out all the forms in your WIA application packet

* If you are eligible for the program then you will need to complete a TABE assessment at a participating Adult Education testing location
