Over two decades GECB serve the nation, it is the largest and oldest autonomous institution of Government of Rajasthan. Recognized as model technical institute in Rajasthan. The college is a renowned institution in the field of Engineering, Management and Computer application. College possesses 337 bighas of land on which construction work has been accomplished on 3 lacs square feet. Affiliated by Rajasthan Technical University Kota and Bikaner Technical University Bikaner. NIT Kurukshetra is the mentor institute of GECB for enhancement of research facilities and in order to promote closure interaction in the area of technology, development, training of students and development of state of art research centre. Around 2500 students are presently studying in the college. GECB is the pioneer technical institution in Rajasthan, play the key role in expansion of technical education in the state by establishing the Government Engineering College Bharatpur, Government College Engineering & Technology Bikaner, Center of E-Governance Jaipur and Government Engineering College Barmer.
