Powerful Mix Engine

The latest generation of AMS Neve DSP engine can provide up to 1000 mix paths at 24bit/96kHz. The DFC PS/1 harnesses the same engine, making it a powerful, streamlined console for film and post. The number of multi-channel inputs can be varied to suit the needs of individual projects. The DSP facilities on channel inputs can be changed as required for any job.

Super High Definition Audio

Surround Surface

The PS/1 is structured for surround, direct stem routing and stem based monitoring makes handling multiple formats simple. The console surface provides fast and intuitive operation with EQ and Dynamics instantly accessible. Mono, stereo or multi-channel predubs can be handled on a single fader.

ViewMixTM high resolution TFT metering displays WavTrakTM audio waveforms, EQ, routing and panning above each channel. The clear and comprehensive master meter section shows group and stem meters to and from tape, aux sends, films and masters. Logicators give instant visual feedback and are all touch sensitive for instant automation control.

Automation Reconform delivers efficient workflow as picture re-cuts go up to the last possible moment. Change lists are taken into Encore Plus and the mix automation re-conformed to match the new cut, significantly reducing the work load on the Mixer and allowing the Director freedom to make creative changes right up to the dub.

Pre-mixes can be inserted into the final mix to streamline the production process.

Powerstation controls Workstation

AMS Neve Star Command uses HUI and Oasis protocols to control Pro ToolsTM, NuendoTM or PyramixTM systems from the console surface. Multiple DAWs can be controlled from a single desk including automation and plug ins. Desk layers can flip between audio channels and control channels – PS/1 is simultaneously a powerful console and a tactile controller.
