A M O S M A I N T E N A N C E &PURCHASE (M&P)
AMOS M&P isa Windows application for the integratedmanagement of maintenance workand costs, stock control and purchasing.I t works in conjunct ion wi th AMOSBusiness Suite.
SpecTec has developed AMOS M&Ps p e c i f i c a l l y f o r c o m p a n i e s a n dorganisations with geographicallydistributed plants or installations. In otherwords, where maintenance, stock controland requisitioning take place at one ormore local installations, and purchasingand transport planning take place at acentral headquarters.
The various functions in AMOS M&Pwork togetherIf you perform a maintenance jobrequiring certain spare parts, and thenreport performing that job, theassociated spare parts which wereautomatically estimated for usage, areupdated in the stock control records asremoved.
Moreover, the purchasing function holds
a purchase order as ‘Active’ until thegoods are registered as ‘Received’, atwhich point they are added into the stockcontrol records.
AMOS M&P allows you to seewhat has been spent on variousmaintenance activities or purchases, andwhat is planned or budgeted for spendingin the future.

AMOS Business Suite is an extensive and powerful Windows based program capable of handling most of thedaily ERP functions encountered in organisations that may consist of multiple locations. It is a client/serverapplication, where the client program is run on a Windows PC, and the server program may use one of severaldifferent database systems. A stand-alone configuration on a single PC is also possible.

Review current stock quantities inrelation to pre-set minimum, maximumand reorder levels.
Automatically calculate the amountneeded to fill stock to any of those threelevels.
Store preferred vendor, price andvendor supplied units for all stock.
Request Stock
Enter desired quantities of items as theyare used or expire.
Requisition Stock and Consumables
Create requisition forms for stockitems automatically, based on desiredquantities and preferred vendors, or createforms manually.

Track Purchasing
Answer questions like:Has the purchaser started to work with
my last requisition?Was the order approved? Was it

Receive Goods
Mark goods received based on purchaseorders, automatically updating stock.

WORKING WITH M&P AT YOURHEAD OFFICE, YOU CAN:
Receive Requisitions
Import data from various localinstallations to the main office.
Make Queries to Potential Vendors
When you don't have a preferred vendor,or you are going to purchase items for thefirst time.
Compare Quotations
Receive quotations in response toqueries you send out.
Record them, and have AMOScalculate the total price of each quotation.
Compare quotations, and have AMOSrecommend a vendor.
Create / Approve Purchase Orders
When you have decided to create apurchase order, you can create a new one,or convert a requisition or a query into apurchase order.
Order Goods
When you order goods, you may want tosplit a requisition into purchase orders sentto different vendors. You may also be ableto send the orders directly from AMOS.
Confirm Orders
When vendors confirm orders, you mustrecord the reference number of thevendor's confirmation on the AMOSPurchase Order. You must also recorddeliveries on the Purchase Order.
Plan Deliveries
The registered delivery line items must beassigned to actual deliveries. This willensure you that all ordered items areeventually delivered and transported tothe installation.

Plan Transport
AMOS helps you create transportdocuments, which also helps get anoverview of unassigned deliveries. Atransport form can be used to print a list ofdeliveries to be loaded on a transport.
Apply Company Specific Workflows
AMOS allows you to apply yourcompany’s own Workflow to theMaintenance and Purchase processes.Specified individuals are notified whennecessary according to a predefinedprocess (status> status action >resulting status).
AMOS DASHBOARD
The AMOS Dashboard is a brand newfeature of AMOS Business Suite
The system now opens up to acustomisable home page, or “Dashboard”.This Dashboard is a visual toolpresenting the user with an upfrontoverview of the most importantinformation.
Different users can have differentdashboards, depending on their roleand needs.For instance, a Chief Engineer would wantto keep the number of unexpectedmaintenance Work Orders, created overtime and that still need to be processed,under control. Whereas, a chief buyerwould need to know at a glance that anumber of new purchase order requestshave been submitted and need hisimmediate attention.
By logging into AMOS, each user will beable to see his own customiseddashboard.Items in the dashboard are presented inthe form of alerts, both numerically andgraphically, to ensure the best possiblevisibility.
The dashboard clearly lists allnotifications generated by the activeworkflows. A double click on thenotification section takes the user directlyto the notification window.
