Sri Mata Amritanandamayi, known throughout the world as «Amma», has served the world-community for decades, imparting wisdom, strength and inspiration. Through her extraordinary acts of love, inner strength and self-sacrifice, Amma has inspired thousands to follow in her path of service to humanity. Amma has travelled the world for more than 30 years, bringing love, hope and peace through her talks, and darshan - her signature embrace. Accessible to one and all, she has hugged an estimated 36 million people worldwide, and inspired a global volunteer-based humanitarian movement, Embracing the World, to help alleviate the burden of the world’s poor by meeting their basic needs – food, shelter, education, healthcare and livelihood. Honoring her contributions to the effort in spreading world peace and harmony, Amma has received many international awards including the Gandhi-King Award for Non-violence, at the UN headquarters in Geneva in 2002. PROGRAMME sCHEDulE• DAY ONE
- 8:00 : doors and snack-bar open- 11:00 : meditation and darshan non-stop until the evening
• DAY TWO - 8:00 : doors and snack-bar open- 10:00 : Amma arrives, meditation and darshan- 19:30 : teachings, bhajans (chants), meditation - 22:00 : darshan
• DAY THREE - Morning : same as the second day -19:00 : puja (ritual for peace) - 20h30 : Devi Bhava, darshan
DARsHAnThis is the moment when Amma gives her hug to all those who come to her, taking each person one by one in a singular embrace. In this moment, you can experience and contemplate unconditional love and be infused with peace and joy.
A ticket system enables you to enjoy all the activities proposed in the hall. This free ticket is distributed on site before each programme and in order of arrival. Each person (including baby) must be present to receive their ticket. Do come early for the morning programme (7:00 is ideal) as well as for the evening programme (16:00 is ideal on the second and third day).
