Dear Colleague:
Welcome to the ACAMS 9th Annual AML & Financial Crime Conference – Asia Pacific. This is the first time we have brought the regional conference to Singapore, and it is due to the support of our members, especially that of the ACAMS Singapore Chapter Board members, that encouraged us to organize this pre-eminent event in Singapore. We are also grateful for the support of the Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau. Most notably, we are honored to have the 2-day conference program be recognized as “FTS-Eligible”, whose funding support greatly increases the educational and networking opportunities for our eligible practitioners in Singapore’s AML/CTF community to enhance their practical knowledge in financial crime prevention and detection.
The conference Task Force and the ACAMS education and training team have secured leading international AML/CTF veterans in developing the most comprehensive summit for financial crime prevention executives in the region. This year’s conference provides you with detailed takeaways from expert panelists addressing an array of key topics, including regulatory expectations, strategies to build and maintain AML compliance practice addressing ultimate beneficial ownership and sanctions, and challenges posed by new technologies in cybercrime and technological innovations, in both our General Sessions as well as the sponsored AML Knowledge Sessions. This interactive forum is designed for you to ask questions, contribute to discussions and connect with peers and speakers alike. We encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to participate in the interactive Q&A segments of the program, as well as the networking functions that are planned throughout the conference.
In addition, please take a moment to rate and review the sessions and speakers via the ACAMS Conferences 2017 mobile app. We also ask that you please complete the evaluation form that will be emailed to you at the end of Tuesday. Your feedback is essential to helping us understand your compliance challenges in a greater effort to provide you educational offerings that speak directly to those needs. Our Speaker Faculty is also grateful for your feedback that will help guide them in their efforts to provide knowledge-sharing effectively.
During the conference, if you should have questions, comments or concerns, you may go to the Registration Desk or approach an ACAMS staff member for assistance.
We appreciate your attendance at this year’s regional conference, and I look forward to personally welcoming you.
Warmest regards,
Hue Dang, CAMS-AuditHead of AsiaACAMS
