Amir Zandifar is a mortgage lender and Branch Manager of Veritas Funding in Scottsdale, AZ. He got his start in the business working for a small lender in California, quickly becoming their top producer. He was then promoted to sales manager – the youngest they had, at 19 years old. Amir then moved on to a bigger company, Loan Depot, gaining more experience there, and has now been in the industry for 6 years.

Now Amir is the branch owner of Veritas Funding, presiding over a team of 20 people which is set to expand to about 30 by the end of the year. His office currently does $650-750 million in loans annually, and offers a diverse range of loans: reverse mortgages, interest-only loans, construc-tion loans, and first-time homebuyer loans, just to name a few. He has also founded the com-pany’s Consumer Direct platform, pioneering

direct lending in an effort to develop a more con-sumer-centric lending culture at Veritas.

Amir’s office has several sources for referral business. Real estate agents constitute a con-siderable wellspring of referrals, and Consumer Direct also allows Amir to contact past customers directly after loans are funded in order to receive

referrals that way as well. In addition, Veritas uses multiple referral and marketing sources, such as mailing, warm transfers, and many types of online leads. Amir affirms that his company’s skilled and efficient processing team is what truly keeps referral clients coming back. He explains that when loan officers bring in business, Veritas makes use of a very easy and effective

system with day-one certainty, getting every-thing approved immediately. Whenever there’s a new customer, as soon as all the necessary documents are ascertained, the team processes it all extremely fast. Veritas generally has pur-chases finished in about three weeks. Keeping in touch with referral partners is also important,

and Veritas’ loan officers make sure this is done. They maintain strong relations, attending meet and greets, open houses, and more.

When asked what he likes most about his cur-rent position, Amir speaks with a veteran’s

viewpoint. He explains that, having been a top agent since his start at 19, he has finally reached a point at which he can shift the focus from his own growth to that of his team. Now, as the owner of the company, he is able to work on teaching others, witnessing their success, and cultivating a business culture which primarily concentrates on the customer experience.

Amir’s contribution to his community takes the form of regular donations to UCP, or United Cerebral Palsy, a nonprofit for people with disabil-ities which he was made aware of by a friend with a disabled child. Amir certainly prioritizes health and awareness, spending his free time working out, meditating, and reading. His plans for the future

involve developing four different revenue systems for Veritas: Consumer Direct, referral business, specialized products, and online revenue. With all of these projects under way, Amir and his team will continue to offer top level loan services with light-ning fast processing and a nuanced understanding of the business.
