Water and MoistureTo reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, thisproduct, its accessories and attachments must notbe exposed to any liquids, rain or moisture. Theproduct must not be exposed to dripping, splashingor high humidity. Do not use this product in anylocation where it may become in contact with anyliquid or vapour.
Product CareServicingThis product contains no user serviceable parts.
The product must not be dismantled. Attempts todismantle the product may be unsafe, may bedetrimental to the life or performance of the productand will immediately invalidate any productwarranty.
Servicing must only be attempted by suitablyqualified service personnel.

Controlling TVThe Amino A125 will typically allow you to choose what you want to view by keying in the channelnumber, stepping through the channels, or by selecting programs from an on-screen electronicprogram guide.
To insert a viewing cardDo not insert or remove a viewing card until prompted by the on-screen display, or you may damagethe card.
Insert the card fully into the slot on the front panel on the Amino A125 with the gold coloured padsfacing down and away from you.

5Unpacking the Amino A125The Amino A125 and its accessories are packed in a recyclable board and plastic package. Pleasekeep all packaging in case you need to transport the unit at a later date.
The Amino A125 is supplied with the following accessories:

7Connecting up the Amino A125Warning!Before connecting or disconnecting any cables, switch off all system devices (TV,VCR, AV Amplifier, etc) and disconnect from the mains electrical supply.
Digital TV InputThe Amino A125 receives TV and movies from a digital TV network. Your service provider will havealready installed a connection to this network which should be plugged into the digital TV input onthe Amino A125.
Connecting VideoThe outputs for video and audio are listed below in order of picture quality, from high to low:
HDMI, which gives digital High Definition video and audio. If your TV supports DVI then digitalHigh Definition can be achieved with an HDMI-DVI cable (not supplied).
AV Output, which provides:
Component video, which can output analogue High Definition or the best quality StandardDefinition video (ensure that you match the colour of the connectors to the cables).
S-Video, which gives good picture quality.
Composite, which gives standard video quality.
RF, which gives the same quality as broadcast TV.
Connecting AudioIf you have a surround sound amplifier then you can connect it to the Amino A125 via the digitalaudio output. If not then you will also need to connect the analogue audio from the AV output tothe TV, unless you are connecting via HDMI or RF as these both carry a video and audio signal.
Connecting PowerThe Amino A125 is supplied with a low voltage power supply. Connect power supply to the powerinput on the Amino A125 then connect power supply into the mains supply socket.

9Unpacking and Installing theProductOnce removed from the transit packaging, theAmino A125 must be handled with care and must not bedropped, shaken or exposed to any physical shock.
The Amino A125 is designed to be placed horizontally orvertically on a hard flat surface.
Do not place the Amino A125 where it may be subject tophysical shock or vibration or where the product maydrop, topple, slide or shake as this may cause personalinjury or irreparable damage to the product, which will notbe covered by the manufacturers warranty.
Do not operate the Amino A125 on a soft surface such ascarpet, rug, bed etc as these surfaces will obstruct airflow,may cause the product to overheat and will invalidate thewarranty.
Do not install the Amino A125 into any built-in installationsuch as bookcase or rack without ensuring that aminimum of 100mm (4) of clear space is available at thefront, rear, sides and top of the product.
Do not install the Amino A125 where it may be exposed todirect sunlight or radiant, convected or conducted heatfrom an open fire or radiator.
The Amino A125 should not be placed on any surface thatmay become warm in use (such as on top of a VCR orA/V amplifier) and nothing should be placed on top of theAmino A125.
Do not cover the Amino A125.
Objects containing liquids, such as vases, flowerpots etcmust not be placed on top of the product.
Do not pick the product up or move the Amino A125 whilstit is operating. If the product must be moved, pleaseunplug the lead from the wall socket and wait 30 secondsbefore moving the product.
The Amino A125 is not suitable for outdoor use.
The leads and power-supply cord must be routed wherethey cannot be walked on, chafed, tripped over or pinchedby items being placed on or against them. Power-supplycords must not be routed underneath carpets or rugswhere any damage could not be seen.
Power SourcesThe Amino A125 must ONLY be used with the powersupply supplied by the manufacturer. The mains lead isfitted with a plug that is designed for use with the powersource of the country of installation
OperationThe Amino A125 and power supply will get warm to thetouch when in use. If the Amino A125, power supply orattachments become hot to the touch, immediately unplugthe Amino A125 from the mains electricity supply and callyour service provider to arrange replacement.
Lightning Protection and Not in UseIf lightning is expected, or the product is not going to beused for a long period of time, please unplug the mainslead from the wall outlet, unplug the digital TV networkconnection from the rear of the product and unplug thevideo and RF leads to the television.
Use with Plasma DisplaysWhen used with certain display types, such as plasmadisplays, it is important that the picture is not paused for along time (greater than 5 minutes) as the image displayedmay then be burned permanently into the screen of thedisplay device. This effect is not a defect of theAmino A125 but a limitation of the display device. AminoCommunications Ltd. will not be held liable for damage socaused.
Software UpdatesThis product is designed to evolve and as a consequence,it benefits from software updates provided and installedautomatically by your service provider. AminoCommunications Ltd. and your Service Provider reservethe right to automatically update the software on theproduct in order to improve the product functionality.
During software updates, the Amino A125 cannot be usedand must not be switched off until the software update iscomplete.
The first time it is powered, it is possible that theAmino A125 will immediately start updating itself with thelatest operating software. While the software is updating itis important that the Amino A125 is not switched off. Thesoftware update will be complete after a few minutes andyou will then be ready to enjoy the full benefits of yournew digital TV service.

Software LicenseSoftware License AgreementIMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY: Byusing the software in your Amino A125 (Product), you(You) agree to be bound by the terms of this SoftwareLicense Agreement (Agreement). If you do not agree tobe bound by the terms of this Agreement, you mustimmediately cease all use of the Product and return theProduct and all accessories, in the original packaging toyour service provider, or the supplier from which youobtained the Product.
License Grant; RestrictionsSubject to the terms of this agreement, AminoCommunications Ltd and its affiliates (collectively Amino)grants You a non-exclusive, non-transferable license,without the right to sub-license, to use the softwareincluded with the Product or subsequently provided toyou, and its associated documentation solely for your non-commercial use and solely in connection with your use ofthe Product. You acknowledge and agree that Amino andyour service provider may periodically update, modify orenhance the Product software. You agree that; a) you willnot attempt to modify, enhance, disassemble, decompile,reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to gain access tothe source code to the software; and b) you will notattempt to remove or unbundle the software from theProduct. Any resale or transfer of the Product by you willbe subject to the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Recorded MaterialsThe Amino A125 is intended for the reception andrecording of TV picture and sound signals (Materials) forpersonal use in conformance with applicable laws, licenseagreements or service agreements under which you haveobtained access to such Materials. Any other use isexpressly prohibited. It is Your responsibility to complywith, and you agree to be bound by, all such applicablelaws and agreements. Unauthorized recording ofcopyrighted material, or providing copies of such materialto others, may infringe the rights of copyright owners andmay also be a criminal offence in some jurisdictions. Priorpermission from the copyright owners may be required forcertain public performances and certain commercial uses.You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Amino and itsLicensors against any breach by You of applicablecopyright restrictions in connection with your use of theProduct. Your service provider can advise you on thelegitimate use of the Product.
OwnershipAmino and its licensors own and retain all proprietaryrights, including all patent, copyright, trade secret,trademark and other intellectual property rights in and tothe software and to any enhancements or modifications tothe software which may be provided to you. Youacknowledge that the license granted under thisagreement does not provide you with title or ownership tothe software but only to a right of limited use under theterms and conditions of this agreement.
Software WarrantiesTo the maximum extent permitted by applicable law,Amino makes no representations and disclaims any andall warranties, express or implied with respect to thesoftware, including, without limitation, any impliedwarranty of merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement of third party rights and those arising from acourse of dealing or usage of trade. No representation ismade or warranty is given that use of the software will bedefect free or error free or uninterrupted, that any defectsor errors will be corrected or that the functionality of thesoftware will meet your requirements.
Limitation of LiabilityTo the maximum extent permitted by applicable law,Amino, its suppliers and licensors will not be liable for lossof profits, business interruption, loss of information ordata, or other pecuniary loss, or for any consequential,indirect, incidental, special, punitive or other damageswhatsoever arising out of this agreement or the use orinability to use the software, even if Amino or its suppliersor licensors have been advised of the possibility of suchdamages.
TerminationThis agreement and the licenses granted hereunder shallimmediately terminate if you fail to comply with the licenselimitations described in this agreement. No notice will berequired from Amino to effect such termination. Ontermination of this agreement you must return allhardware, software and product documentation andaccessories to the service provider, or the supplier fromwhich you obtained the Product.
Export ControlsYou acknowledge and agree that none of the software orunderlying information or technology may be downloadedor otherwise exported or re-exported: a) into (or to a
national or resident of) Angola, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya,North Korea, Sudan, Syria, or any other country to whichthe US has embargoed goods; or any one on the USTreasury Department's list of Specially DesignatedNationals or the US Commerce Department's Table ofDenial Orders. By using the software, you represent andwarrant that you are not a resident or national of any suchcountry or on any such list.
US Government UsersThis software is a commercial product and is providedwith restricted rights. Use, reproduction, release,modification or disclosure of the software or any partthereof including technical data is restricted in accordancewith Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 21.212 forcivilian agencies and Defense Federal Acquisition(DFARS) 227.7202 for military agencies.
LawIf you acquired this Product in the United States, thisagreement shall, in all respects, be governed by the lawsof the State of Georgia without reference to its principlesor conflicts of laws. You hereby agree that all disputesarising out of this agreement shall be subject to theexclusive jurisdiction and of and venue in the federal andstate courts within Atlanta, Georgia, and you herebyconsent to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction andvenue of these courts. If you acquired this product in theUnited Kingdom, the laws of England shall apply, and youhereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue ofthese courts. If you acquired this product elsewhere, thenlocal law may apply.
MiscellaneousIf any of the provisions of this agreement are held to beinvalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, theyare, to that extent, deemed omitted. Any delay by Aminoin exercising any of its rights shall not constitute a waiverof any such right. This agreement constitutes thecomplete and exclusive agreement between you andAmino with respect of the subject matter hereof andsupercedes all prior oral or written understandings,communications or agreements. This agreement may notbe modified except in writing by a duly authorizedrepresentative of Amino. All headings are for convenienceand shall have no effect on interpretation of thisAgreement.
