My unique management style & out-of-the-box thinking have been featured in maga-

One of my proudest professional moments was in 2007, when Kestler Financial Group

was named the 2,866th fastest growing company in the US by Inc. Magazine. I am a

founding Annexus Group partner, based in Scottsdale, AZ. In addition, I sit on the Board

of Directors of the National Association of Fixed Annuities (NAFA) & Chair one of NAFA’s

subcommittees, the Insurance Marketers Advisory Council (IMAC).

If I had to fi ll out a questionnaire about my hobbies it would probably look something

like this: “Jason loves dancing in the kitchen with his daughter, ice cold beer, letting his

son drive his golf cart while sitting on his lap & the three minutes he spends fi ghting with

his wife over the sheets before they both pass out from utter exhaustion.”

I live in Leesburg, Virginia with my beautiful wife Emily & our daughter & son, Grace &

I began my career with Citibank, FSB in the wholesale mortgage industry. I held

several positions from administrative to management, working my way up to an

Account Executive. During my tenure with Citibank, I received numerous Customer

Service Awards & others including Employee of the Year & Top Producing Account

Executive. After 10 years with the bank, a reorganization took place and I elected

to pursue other professions. I joined Kestler Financial Group, Inc. in 2002 as a life

marketer. While working in the Marketing Department, I identifi ed a customer service

need for the agents & advisors. In 2005, I built the Case Management Department.

My current responsibilities are to manage the Case Management Department which

includes new business processing, licensing, contracting, commissions, collections

& policy administration. In addition, I administer general offi ce policies & procedures.

In my time away from the offi ce, I enjoy spending time with family & friends, cooking,

gardening, antiquing, reading & attending sporting events. I have a passion for dogs,

especially the Bull Terrier breed. I am looking forward to fostering dogs in the near

future.

I am a top annuity wholesaler who specializes in working with

registered representatives and life insurance agents. I began my

career in the industry 10 years ago at BISYS Potomac, a boutique

life insurance fi rm as a Relationship Manager. In this role, I realized

how much I love the fl uidity of the industry and how important

relationships are. One thing I’ve learned is that you have to be

willing to work hard and be fl exible.

My mental agility drove me to the decision to go out on my own under AIG American General as a life

insurance agent, winning the President’s Cup in my 1st year of production. In 2007, I went independent in

order to serve my clients with the right solutions to meet their unique situation without having my hands

tied. After joining Kestler, I plugged right into working with some of the industry’s top advisors. My

strength is being able to listen to my advisors to really gain a deep understanding of their practice and

the clients they serve. I also consider many of the advisors I work with to be friends.

I grew up in Damascus, Maryland and was a monster fast-pitch softball player, which landed me a full

NCAA D-II scholarship to The University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio where I earned my BA in Social Work

and Public Administration. My life path has led me across the United States and then back to Maryland.

Currently, I live along the Potomac River in historic Brunswick, Maryland, serving as a major stop on the

Maryland Rail Commuter Line to Washington, DC.

I am very busy when I am not working, taking care of my two

young sons and three adopted black dogs. I can be found on

the C&O Canal and the Appalachian Trail on the weekends, rain

or shine. As an owner of a historic house, my home improve-

ment projects keep me very busy as well. I serve my town

as a Member of the Board of Planning and Commissions and

proudly support my local coff ee/jam place called Beans In

the Belfry.

a BA in Psychology.

I’ve lived in Northern VA for most of my life minus a three year hiatus for military

travel when my father was in the Air Force. I currently live in Ashburn, VA with my

husband & two fur-babies... two Labrador Retrievers who keep me laughing every day!

I joined Kestler Financial Group (KFG) in February of 2004. I began my career in fi nancial

services at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey - an institutional brokerage and investment banking

fi rm in Arlington, VA. I worked in the Sales Department on the trading fl oor - buying/

selling stocks & bonds for both institutional & retail clientele. In addition, I participated in

a countless number of IPOs, dealing with companies, research analysts & clientele to

ensure successful off erings for all parties involved. I went on to serve as the Associate

Communications Manager for LPL Financial Services. As a member of the Marketing

Department, I assisted reps who chose the path of independence on a daily basis.

My focus at KFG includes recruiting, branch development, compliance & marketing. I also

serve as our fi rm’s Information Security Offi cer, overseeing & protecting the privacy of our

In my spare time, I teach SPIN classes, and I practice as a certifi ed holistic health counselor.

I joined Kestler Financial Group (KFG) in October of 2010. My career in the fi nancial

services industry started in 1986 when I worked for Equity Securities out of Minneapolis,

Minnesota. Over the years, I have worked just about every operations position possible

from data entry to top level management. I was the VP of Relationship Management for

Southwest Securities in Dallas Texas from 1996-1999. I then went to work for Allianz Life

Insurance Company from 1999-2009. For seven of those years, I was Chief Administrative

Offi ce of US Allianz Securities, a broker/dealer division of Allianz Life. Over my career I

have been very fortunate to have been part of some very strong teams, but none as caring

& thoughtful as the Kestler Financial team. I hold series 7 & 24 securities licenses.

I am married with two children. My son is a sophomore in college & my daughter is a

senior in high school. Both are track & fi eld athletes, so my wife & I enjoy driving to watch

JEFF Reed

In April 2000, I transitioned from personal production to the wholesaling and life brokerage world as the Brokerage Manager with CPS/Integrated Marketing and Insurance Services. For the next fi ve years, I was responsible for all recruiting and marketing functions, as well as managing any cases that were impaired risk or diffi cult to place. I am a former Board Member with the San Diego Chapter of both NAIFA and the FPA.

I joined Kestler Financial in the fall of 2010 as the Director of Life Insurance Sales. In this role, I focus on fi nding the unique life insurance opportunities that high level annuity

and securities producers encounter in the course of their interaction with clients.

I celebrated my 17th anniversary of marriage with my wife, Kellie, this year. We have two children, Miranda, age 12, and Logan, age 10. I enjoy kayaking, martial arts, traveling and basketball in my free time. I also spend time with “My Kids’ Money,” a charitableorganization that I founded, dedicated to increasing fi nancial literacy in our children.

I began my career as a Life Agent with MassMutual in San Diego in 1997. In addition to developing my own book of clients, I served as the Compliance Offi cer for this agency from 1999 to 2001.
