WE Want to Work With YOU, Our Regional Corporations! We understand the power of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 and it is our goal to utilize this, our resource, wherever possible. We understand that the best and perhaps the only access to the resource that is ANCSA 1971 is by working with our Regional Native Corporations. Through all of our multi-state experience, in the last ten years, we have yet to utilize this resource (1971 ANCSA) because we did not know about it. Now that we know of this great resource, and now have added representation through uniting different regions of Alaska Natives, we are in a position to help more of our People utilize ANCSA 1971 through our one hundred percent Alaska Native hire policy. Our company, Ameritech, with the training and support offered by our National Native Leadership Co-op membership, is able to greatly affect the high rates of unemployment of our Villages by working with the regional corporations as an independent contractor or independent supplier. Currently many of our regional corporations are contracting or

PROPOSAL TO OUR CORPORATIONS

subcontracting portions of 1971 ANCSA sourced contracts to non-Alaska Native companies. Our proposal to all of The Regional Corporations, the purpose of this brochure, is that you work with us, Ameritech, a United Alaska Native owned company to fulfill your contracting, sub-contracting or supply needs by directly sourcing our company contracts or assisting us, your shareholders, in procuring contracts for our company, Ameritech, through the 1971 ANCSA. We have a proven successful track record of project completion utilizing one hundred percent Native hire and it is our formal request that our regional corporations help us expand upon our success utilizing “One hundred percent Alaska Native hire”.

Our Mission Statement: “We all share a love of our resources, our land, and our people. We are committed to their furtherance through employment and our policy of “One Hundred Percent Native Hire”. We believe that as a company “You are who you employ,” and we are a 100% Alaska Native company.

PROPOSAL TO OUR CORPORATIONS OUR PHILOSOPHY

Experience Where It Counts Our Leadership:Ameritech’s projects succeed because of the depth of leadership in our company and thededication and commitment of our owners to each project’s success. All of our ownersmaintain a solid foundation of commitment to the project. We, as owners, believethat project success is paramount. To ensure this success we will literally roll up oursleeves, get out on the job and get it done. To this point, our upper level managementis a line of defense, against failure, that is im-penetrable. This level of project dedicationand commitment by upper level management is not found today, and it is what setsAmeritech projects apart from everyone else. Our current President, Steven Kirk,is a battle tested Veteran of the war in Iraq. When the “bullets” start flying, Mr. Kirkmaintains poise under pressure. We can at-tribute a great amount of success to hisexperiences in Iraq and the peril that war brings. In his words, “I have a strong beliefin my People, The Inupiaq, and an under-standing that the problems we may face onprojects or in business are easily addressed and solved when compared to the finality ofwar.”

Along with our high level of project commit-ment and leadership, Ameritech has a proventrack record of success on State, Federal, and Private construction projects utilizinga One Hundred Percent Native workforce. Our “One Hundred Percent Native hire”is our greatest accomplishment, and the pride of our People shines through and isrepresented in our projects’ success. We have completed projects from the Arctic regionof Alaska to Florida and most states in be-tween. Our main concentration has alwaysbeen catastrophe response and we are built to respond, and respond quickly. We canmobilize our Native workforce, materials and

equipment to any state in the U.S. within48 hours. Our catastrophe response and re-construction system is efficient and highlyorganized, second to none.

A Commitment to Our Villages:We are United Native Alaskans; together we have a strength in resource, the strength of many. This unity allows each of our regional representatives to focus on their communities, working diligently to provide jobs for his or her people. This is the simple commitment of each of our owners. Our belief is that a contract resource that exists because of a People should benefit the People, through job opportunity. “When unemployment rates in our villages are seventy, eighty percent or more we cannot afford to lose a job, not even one.” This is our commitment to our villages and our People.

Delbert Thomas, Buckland, Alaska.

Ownership: Ameritech Roofing Systems is a licensed cor-poration wholly owned by Alaska Natives.Current ownership represents The Inupiaq People of The Nana Region and The BeringStraits Region. We currently have ownershipthat represents The Native Villages of Noatak, Buckland, Unalakleet, Elim, and Golovin. Ameritech’s Native owners are United Na-tive Alaskans working together to serve their individual villages and regional residents by offering access to good paying jobs in the construction and manufacturing industries.

The Work that we do and Where We are Licensed:Ameritech’s largest construction and supply contracts have consisted of structural steel, interior and exterior finishes, roofing and NDT services. Our largest single contract, completed to date, was a hurricane Wilma re-construction insurance claim, in South Florida, in excess of twelve million dollars. Our company is currently a licensed general contractor in Alaska, Montana, New Mexico, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida. We hold roofing certifications in all types of roofing including; single ply, modified bitumen (APP, SBS) and architectural metal. We currently manufacture all of our own structural steel building components along with ten different profiles of architectural standing seam roofing. The majority of all of our projects have been design build contracts in which we employ our own architects and engineers and also manufacture most of the products installed by our Native workforce. All of our experience represents a diverse offering to The Alaska Native Regional Corporations, and we look forward to our future, working together.

We are a member of The National Native Leadership Co-op:Co-op membership is an integral part of the success of our company and the success of all of our employees. The National Native Leadership Co-op acts as our agent, assisting us with employee training and certification, material and equipment supply for projects, credit, contract negotiation and professional consulting services. The Co-Op is also an integral part of our employee development program and employee success, through Co-op member colleges that develop job specific training based on our needs and tailored to the specific needs of our Native workforce. All of our employees are Co-op members because membership in the Co-op greatly increases and expands the abilities of our company, Ameritech.

INSURANCE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Step 1. What is damaged and what can be repaired versus replaced?

Ameritech General is an all phase construction material manufacturer. Ameritech currently supplies and manufac-tures materials from the concrete slab to the structural building shell to the finished roofing material. There is no entity more qualified in determining damage and repair options than the material manufacturer. It is to this end that Ameritech General’s manufacturing pro-fessionals can provide an accurate assess-ment of the damage to your property as well as a determination of what materials can be repaired versus being replaced. This deter-mination is a critical element in the insurance claims process and Ameritech’s expertise in this area is unparalleled. To date, Ameritech General has a 100% success rate when submitting a scope of repairs to an insurance carrier. Our findings have never been over-turned. This is quite a statement, considering the smallest project undertaken by Ameritech General in years past was in excess of $7,000,000.

Step 2. How much will repairs cost?

Ameritech General is a multi-state licensed general contractor. Because Ameritech is licensed from Alaska to Florida we are able to accurately price all types of construction and a variety of construction systems. The abil-ity to provide accurate construction systems’ pricing is invaluable in the claims settlement process.

Step 3. Re-Design

Ameritech General’s re-design of your project is a three part process. First and foremost, Ameritech General’s reconstruction design meets or exceeds current building codes. Secondly, Ameritech General’s designs ad-dress functionality and the end use of the structure as well as future plans for expan-sion. Thirdly, Ameritech General’s designs promote a classic look that is up to date for years to come and is within the budget of the insurance allowance for the project.

Step 4. Choosing the right contractor.Ameritech General is a multi-state general contractor specializing in disaster restora-tion. Because Ameritech General also manu-factures most of the construction systems it installs, Ameritech General’s projects operate smoothly without costly delays in material delivery or scheduling. Ameritech General currently designs and installs structures in the most advanced building code area in the U.S., Miami-Dade County. This experience is invaluable when it comes to providing our customers with a design and installation that will weather the storm.

Step 5. Project Management

Ameritech General offers project management services for Re-Design Clients. Our staff of highly skilled project managers ensures that the project flows smoothly and all design parameters are met and installed properly. This service also ensures that all project closeout documents are in order and final warranties are issued as well as operation and maintenance manuals.

Do I need professional insurance claim representation?

It is the general consensus of insurance professionals across the country that, in the event your property incurs cata-strophic damage, it is advantageous to be adequately represented by a professional who understands the insurance claims process. There are many different forms of professional claims assistance, all of which require multiple entities such as contractors, manufacturers, and various engineers. All of these entities (engi-neers, contractors, manufacturers) pro-vide information to an insurance special-ist, a public adjuster, or an attorney, who then presents the documentation to the insurance carrier on behalf of the owner. As you might guess, the involvement of all these different companies can add up to a substantial amount of money very quickly. It is this reason that a public adjuster, a person or company that represents the insured or owner, charges a percentage of the total amount paid on the claim. This percentage is usually between 7% and 10% depending on the size and type of claim. Ameritech General has recognized that there is a need for professional claims assistance that has value added advan-tages. Ameritech General currently offers all of the services required to properly document an insurance claim through our company’s design and engineering, manu-facturing, and multi-state general contract-ing arms. Because Ameritech General is a single entity, drawing on the vast experi-ence of our own employees, our claims services allow for a greater number of representation options for our clients at a significant savings.

The Ameritech Savings

Legal interpretation of your insurance documents is required to adequately pres-ent your best interests to your insurance carrier. For the task of legal interpretation and claims presentation there is no better choice than an attorney experienced in insurance law. The addition of an attorney represents the greatest cost savings to an insurance claim because an attorney’s involvement is on an “as needed” basis. This “as needed” basis allows for total client control of claims assistance expen-ditures. Ameritech has assembled a team of attorneys who specialize in insurance law and are dedicated to the claims settle-ment process. This does not mean that Ameritech General claims go to court. To date, all Ameritech General claims have been settled prior to any type of litigation. This is a testimony to the Ameritech Gen-eral claims representation system and the strength of our damage documentation. The best reference of any program is past client experience. Three large Ameritech General clients in the past who have ben-efitted from the Ameritech General System are; ANI Pharmaceuticals-Hur-ricane Katrina, American Fruit and Pro-duce-Hurricane Wilma, and The Conquis-tador Apartments-Hurricane Wilma.
