Your Digital Showroom in the Exhibitor Portal

If you don’t have a Digital Showroom yet, now is the time to create one. It’s a free and easy way to connect with buyers at home, at Market, and on the go. In fact, it’s one of the easiest ways to get noticed. Showcase your logo, lines, product photos, social media, and even include your Market specials and list your special events.

If you’ve already created a Digital Showroom, you’re on the right track. But don’t forget to update it with any new lines, photos, or changes in your contact information so buyers attending upcoming Markets know what’s new. By checking to make sure your contact information is correct, you’re ensuring what is published in the printed Buyer’s Guide for Market is correct as well.

It’s easy to create/update your Digital Showroom. Simply log into the Exhibitor Portal and fill in each section with your information.

The Exhibitor Portal is your online resource to manage your Digital Showroom, access important documents and information, modify contact information, proof your Buyer’s Guide listings and much more.

Your Directory Listing/Lines & Categories

When a buyer searches for a line or product category on the AmericasMart website and app, the search results are based on the information you provide in the Exhibitor Portal. Be sure to update and maintain your product lines, and the categories they are associated with, so you are always listed in buyers’ searches. Find this section in the Exhibitor Portal under “Lines & Categories.”

Assign Book Listings

Once you’ve completed updating your product lines and categories, you must click the “Assign Book Listings” button at the bottom of the page to select which of your categories are included in the classified section of the printed Buyer’s Guide. This is an essential step which must be completed to be included in the Buyer’s Guide.

Keep on top of upcoming deadlines by viewing all your important forms in the ANTIQUES section of the Exhibitor Portal.

Hosting Events

Want to drive more buyers to your space? Host a special event or offer a Market special and it will be featured on the AmericasMart website and app and in the Buyer’s Guide. Bring a celebrity for a meet and greet, offer lunch, host a seminar or work with other exhibitors on your floor and host a party together. Listing your event in our materials is complimentary and another great way to bring traffic to your showroom, booth and floor.

Log in to your Exhibitor Portal at AmericasMart.com/ExhibitorPortal

• Once you have logged in, click on “Add Market Events” or “Submit Market Specials”

• Click “Add New Event” or “Add New Special”

• In the field provided, type the appropriate information regarding the event or special into the portal

• Click “Save”

Put your products front and center! We maintain a resource library of gift, home, rug and apparel exhibitor images to use in all marketing channels to help promote Markets. Exhibitors are encouraged to submit product images to be considered for use:

• Both product and lifestyle shots are accepted • Images must be 300 dpi • Submit through WeTransfer, Dropbox or through access to a company’s ftp site • Please make sure the company name is clearly identified • Provide the product name and description if possible

Press/Media Opportunities Getting your brand into the spotlight is a great way to grow your business. Here are a few tips to help you connect with the media.

Before Market

Did you know most editors and publishers make their Market appointments weeks in advance? You could be on their schedules! Reach out to trade publications in advance to arrange a meeting.

Trade publications regularly send out calls for editorial submissions. Editors love it when manufacturers send them photos and information about their products. Subscribe to communications from these trades and send them your product photography—it might get published. This is a complimentary way to get promoted in a magazine and to get more buzz.

During Market

Dealers are strongly encouraged to provide press kits during January and July Markets. The Press Room is located in Building 1, Floor 10, 10-D-9B and open from Tuesday–Monday of Market. We suggest bringing 30-40 kits. Don’t forget to include your location at Market (booth/showroom number) and contact information of someone who is at the Market, so media can find you easily.

Press kits are beneficial because not only are they a great tool for reaching the media, but AmericasMart collects product photography from the kits for use in our buyer marketing communications as well.

When you’re at Market, be prepared for media if and when they stop by your showroom/booth. Have your “elevator pitch” ready and have information about your products readily available.
