THE TICKET LETTER
• Monthly SSA mails to approximately 60,000 beneficiaries age 18-56 who became entitled the previous month
• Content of the Ticket letter
• “…to tell you about a program that helps people receiving disability benefits
to go to work…..may help people who are already working to earn more
money.…run by Social Security. …is voluntary. You can take the enclosed
Ticket to Work to any of the Employment Networks.
• “…you can get a list of Employment Networks by calling toll-free 1-866-968-
7842 or …. search for Employment Networks…www.choosework.net
• Copy of the letter mailed found at https://yourtickettowork.com/web/ttw/ticket-mailings

• Made available to all ENs and state VR offices
• ADEN Member orders SSA publications
• Order sooner than later, it takes time to receive SSA hard copy publications

Each ADEN Member will be added to the directory
• Once ADEN POC completes Core Services Training• ADEN POC confirms with ADEN Admin that they are prepared to handle
beneficiary calls
• Must be committed to 24-48 hour response time for inquiries
• ADEN Admin will review the information with you prior to posting
• Notify ADEN Admin if any changes needed on directory posting

• Add signage at your agency about being ADEN Member or Ticket program
• Add information regarding your ADEN Membership to your internal marketing materials
• Add ADEN Membership tagline or logo to your email signature
• Add a question to your agency intake process that triggers discussion about Ticket services through ADEN
• Add to your agency website
• ADEN Member logo and link to ADEN website
• Link to the Ticket to Work website
• Include ADEN language in your agency’s social media efforts

WALK THE TALK:
• Be sure your EN is physically accessible
• Be sure your website is friendly to screen readers
• Be sure to add “For deaf/hard of hearing use 711” to your phone number postings
• Be sure your staff, especially receptionist, are aware you are an EN and a Member of ADEN so they appropriately respond to inquires

EXAMINE CURRENT CUSTOMERS
• For ADEN Members with current customers, review existing caseload for possible Ticket assignments
• Steps:• Review your customer database and identify those who are
receiving SSDI or SSI and between age 18-64.
• Identify who on the target list are currently working and those who you anticipate will be working within the next 6 months
• Check ticket assignment status per ADEN Ticket Assessment Guide
• If Ticket is available, then discuss ADEN services and invite them to assign their Ticket
• Develop IWP for Ticket assignment .

Offer to present or exhibit a booth such as:
• State youth transition conference hosted by area educational agency
• State youth with disabilities leadership events
• Employment 1st Conference
• State ARC Convention
• Peer Support Conference
• State Mental Health Conference
• Local support groups
• Veteran Resource Fairs
• Human Rights Council events
• City ADA council
• National Disability Employment Awareness Month (October) events

HOW TO PROMOTE ADEN DURING OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS
• Offer a service at an event, i.e. mock interviews for job seekers and note “mock interviews are provided to job seekers on Social Security Disability and SSI benefits as a service of American Dream Employment Network”
• Partner with state deaf services agency for an interpreter at the event and note “interpreter has been provided by American Dream Employment Network for beneficiaries receiving Social Security Disability and SSI benefits”
• Offer a freebie at your booth, that attracts beneficiaries but costs you little or nothing, i.e. a raffle prize of lunch for four at your agency and staff provide the food

• ADEN beneficiary outreach events are intended following audiences:
• SSA disability beneficiaries of working age
• Service providers that want to know more about Ticket to Work and partner with
you as ADEN Members
• Other possible referral agents
• ADEN beneficiary outreach events are listed on the monthly ADEN training schedule.
• Held on the even # months and will offer close captioning.
• ADEN Admin will live stream these presentations using web platform for ADEN
Members not yet ready to present the information.

ADEN BENEFICIARY OUTREACH EVENTS: WHAT MEMBERS CAN DO
• ADEN Members will promote these events and host the presentation.
• Need a room with internet connection (be sure room is accessible)
• Need projector and speakers/speaker phone
• Recommend to schedule available time after the event to meet with people or schedule a follow up appointment
• ADEN will provide marketing tools to Members to promote these events.
• Also a Beneficiary Outreach Event Planning Guide
