Initial Topic
• When I first decided on my topic, I wanted to study women in World War II. I wanted to break the perspective that we have been presented in the past that men went off to war and women stayed in the home. I wanted to research women who contributed to the war effort, be it in the work force or in the armed forces. I also wanted to research European women, mainly German, in the war on the European Front.
