particular style of dress was then ‘in vogue’; such opinions are now ‘in vogue.

A weekly journal of fashion, society, and the ‘ceremonial side of life’ for a small circle of socially elite New Yorkers.

Tailored towards an elite audience.

● The founder of Conde Nast Publications, who bought Vogue in 1909

● Vogue, which was originally an American publication which had been existence since 1892

● He transformed a 24-pages weekly society journal that featuring fashion news, verse and humorous drawings into a monthly magazine, Vogue.

● The covers were done by the most brilliant illustrators and photographers in the industry, which then became a representation of the movements in each decade

December 1892: a weekly society journal, releases its first issue in America

June 1909: Vogue thrived after Condé Nast Publications acquired the magazine. The magazine started printing more pages and its main audience became women.
