HFICD Scope

The focus of the HFICD is on the information and human-system interface aspects of nuclear systems. This includes the sensors that transduce physical processes into signals, the data processing and communications systems, the information display, and the perception and interpretation of information by humans. Both operational status and system health are extracted from measured signals. The interaction humans with automation and their decision processes are particular foci of the division.
