Madame Department and District President, Officers, Chairman, and Aux硝ary members,

A.L.A. Dist「ict 28 has a current membership paid to Department of 605: 561 are Seniors

and 44 are 」uniors. There are currentlv 9 Units with one pending.

4 Units donated’’GiveTen’’itemsto area schooIs in the amount of$1,561.87. 4 Units

donated to Department Education funds in the amount of$365.00. AIl Units donate to ′′Do帽rs

for Scholars’′ at the District bi-mOnthlY meetings. Total w用be donated at the end offiscaI vea「

for reporting.

1 Unit purchased Poppyseals in the amount of$12.00, 1 Unit participated in Veterans in the

Classroom Communitv Project. G「ades lO-12 participated, and 21 Veterans shared their stories.

1 Unit reported 360 BoxTops were gathered and distributed to 4 area schooIs, Manv

members are now usingthe BoxTop app so end ofyea「「eports should be good,

2 Units reported giving SchoIarships in their Unjts: Scholarship amounts were持OO.00 and

$2与0.00. 1 Unit is taking Scholarship info「mation in 」anuaryto the旧ocal schoo上Another Unit

has contacted an area school and has made sure a= current applications that are offered from

American Legion Aux掴ary a「e in the Schoia「ship book located in Counselo「s office. No othe「

activity was reported at this time.

Our Second AnnuaI Scholarship fundraiser is just around the comer! CurrentIy, Unjt

members have checked out tickets, hopefu=y se帖ng, and more are available! Let′s make this a

fantastic event so that we maY Offer more Scholarship funds to a= applicants. We are asking訓

Units to donate baskets′ desserts′ and share SchoIarship event fIYerS in Post home. Event flyers

Were in the last Education packet butjust in caseyou need another, i have included one in this

PaCket.

A= proceeds w紺benefit District Scholarships exceptforthe dessert bar. Those funds w紺be

earmarked, along with the 25% from District meeting 50/50 d「awings, for the Department

Scholarship coffers, l w紺send out an ema= as a reminderaswe are nearerthe event and

include information on when we w紺decorate forthose who wouId Iike to heIp.

Now onto SchoIarship app=cations. A= app=cations should beto me bythe end ofthe

SeCOnd week of February! A= app=cations must be gone overto make sure訓requirements and

Signatu「es are compIeted. We wouIdn’t want anv ap坤CantS missing out on their opportunities!

there is a new form that must be completed for Units to receive their ′′Give Ten’’Certificate.
