LEARNING TO LIVE WITH COVID-19 AT THIS EVENT

OBEDIENCE AND RALLYNO crating will be allowed in the Obedience and Rally building. A staging area will be available for exhibitors. Please remember that our volunteers will do their absolute best to make sure you are kept informed.Every effort will be made to keep exhibitors informed of schedule.No Spectators in the building.

SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS & BEST PRACTICESIn the state of Idaho, social distancing has been a community effort. People are aware of themselves and others and the proximity to each other whether you are by yourself or with other people in your circle. Everyone has adopted the attitude of YOU before Me and are checking theirs ego at the door. We are expecting this same attitude to carry over as people come from all over the country to help show the fancy that events CAN be held!• Willful disregard of requirements and/or abusive behavior towards a judge, steward, club official, other exhibitors or superintendent can result in a hearing.

GENERAL PRACTICES• Clubs, officials & participants are required to follow state, local & facility guidelines that apply to the area & site where the event is held.• Exhibitors should wash hands as frequently as possible.• Avoid shaking hands, hugging, or other physical contact.• Avoid touching dogs that are not your responsibility.• Exhibitors must provide their own scoops for cleaning up from their dog in the entire facility.• Prepare to be self-sufficient: bring sanitizer, bring personal use mask, bring pen/pencil for filing out forms, etc.• Know the armband numbers for your entries before going to the ring. You will not be allowed to look at the gate steward’s book. They will be as helpful as possible from a 6-foot distance.• Do no congregate at the ring or ring gate.• While showing your dog, maintain social distances with other exhibitors.• Be aware of entry only and exit only from rings and buildings.

SUPERINTENDENT’S TABLE• Lanes will be available for Superintendent business.• Exhibitors waiting to be helped must maintain 6 ft distance from the next patron.• Forms will be handed out upon request.• Exhibitors are required to bring & use their own pen to fill out forms.• Premium List will not be set out for taking.

VENDORS• Be aware of your surroundings & be courteous to the vendor & fellow shoppers.

CONCESSION STAND• Follow the 6 ft spacing social distancing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR OBEDIENCE AND RALLYPlease refer to https://www.akc.org/press-center/covid-19-updates-from-the-american-kennel-club/ for more in-depth information for all sports including Obedience and Rally events. These include procedure changes that you may not have encountered before. Be prepared, not surprised!• Crating will be in your car except for limited crating for staging.• A designated parking area will be available for Obedience and Rally exhibitors.• The Club will work extremely hard to make sure all exhibitors know when they need to be ready.• Please bring your own pens. None will be provided by the Club or the Superintendent.• All local, district and state rules will be followed.• Stay home if you do not feel well, lose your sense if smell/taste, have been exposed to Covid-19 within 14 days of the show, or show any other symptoms.• Our goal is having a safe and enjoyable event for all involved.

PROCEDURES FOR DEALING WITH SICKNESS AT EVENTExhibitors demonstrating symptoms of acute respiratory illness are required to immediately notify show management. At that point they will be required to leave the show site and referred to COVID-19 testing.A decision will be made by the exhibitor if they wish to have their dogs shown by volunteer handlers or if they wish to depart.In the event of either of these situations occurring, exhibitors will be notified and a statement will be prepared for the press detailing the issue and the interventions that were taken to protect the remaining exhibitors.Areas of he venue that were visited, used or impacted by the infected individual will be assessed and CDC approved cleaning guidelines implemented immediately.

This will be held in the same rings as we are holding obedience competitions for the three days of our show.

THURSDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 7, 2021 – 6:00PMPlease maintain social distance!Entries taken starting at 5:30PM

$5.00 for 7 minutes of individual ring time.

Labor to set up the rings will have to come form the exhibitors themselves. You must provide your own "judge" if you want one.Time starts when you & your dog walk into the ring.

You will get seven minutes to do any run-through, exercise, play, training or stays that you wish to do. Any regular class can be run through. Verbal praise, correction & gentle guiding are allowed (harsh corrections are not allowed.) Toys & training aids are allowed, no food is allowed. You can work with a helper.

A person may use their time to organize a group stay of no more than 6 dogs.

You are limited to 2 time slots per dog. No crating in the building

TRANSFER OF ENTRIESNOTE: TRANSFER OF ENTRIES AND REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS FOR PUBLISHED JUDGE CHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE OFFICE AFTER 12:00 NOON ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5. AFTER THIS TIME, YOU MUST CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT ON SITE.CONFORMATION: Dogs may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show.JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition, if a win in Novice leads to a Best Junior with competition present it will count as one win towards moving to Open, after closing of entries for a show are required to transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class by notifying the Superintendent prior to the start of the class at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another, as well as, move from Master to Open or Open to Novice if a win has been disallowed or the Junior miscalculated number of placements, provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent prior to the judging of the class at the show.OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner’s records the handler and dog are eligible provided the club offers transfers. Transfers from an “A” to “B” class at the same level are allowed provided the host club allows transfers. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the Superintendent or Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Clubs may choose to accept transfers prior to the day of the trial and this should be clearly stated in the premium list. Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit.
