Program Overview
Because our communities are the heart of our nation, involved citizens need up-to-date tools and education to make the best use of our land and resources. With knowledge from this program, they can shape our communities into economically competitive spaces that are also great places to live.
This set of online, land-use education and training courses helps local appointed and elected officials study for an exam that leads to the Master Citizen Planner credential. Those who earn the credential are prepared to demonstrate “defensible decision-making.”
Note: There is a separate certification program for professional planners.
