1. Why are there so many unrepresented counties on the map?
These areas are unchartered territories. Historically there were not enough members in those areas to start a section. LSAC is interested in talking to sections that may want to annex the areas or to help start a section in the area.

A few copies of the District maps are located on the back tables.

The numbers change each year and the maps do not. The best source for your membership numbers would be the eRoster.

7. What’s the difference between a region and a district?
Districts are drawn and approved by Council based on ACS Bylaws and populations within each District. Regions are historic and don’t have to change.

YOU CAN! Check your Bylaws. If your Bylaws don’t allow, email [email protected] to begin the process to update them.

12. What is the future annual cost for the Email Management Service, Real Magnet, for each local section?
The service is being pilot tested. The current expectation is that it will be offered to local sections at no cost.

ACS has negotiated discounted rates for local sections to use A+ conferencing. Visit www.acs.org/getinvolved for the contact information.
