• In 1904 Amelia built a roller coaster in her backyard it felt like flying.
• 1920, Amelia bought her first plane for $10 and took flying lessons. For her 24th birthday Amelia received a “Canary” plane.
• On June 17-18, 1928, Amelia flew “Friendship” from Canada to Wales. It took 20 hours and 40 minutes.
• 1931, Amelia Married George Putnam. He planned Amelia’s trip to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself.
• 1932 Amelia flew in her Lockheed Vega. She was in stormy weather. She landed in a farmer’s field in Ireland.
• On June 1st, 1937 Amelia Earhart flew her Lockheed Electra – she flew from Florida and planned to fly around the World along the equator.
• On July 2nd, 1937 the world lost contact with Amelia. She was thought to be dead.
