As you are aware that we are in the process of restructuring of MSME-DIs under MSME-Umbrella Programme. The 'Strategic Recommendation Report' prepared by Deloitte / GIZ has already been forwarded to you and the same has been discussed in length during Senior Officers' Meeting on 7th & 8 th November, 2013 at NIESBUD, Noida. I am very glad that you have contributed proactively in preparation of this business process re-engineering report which will enable the MSME-DIs to lead the challenges of the 21 st century. Now for the implementation, I am relying on you to take it forward from here. For the first phase, I am selecting 12 of you. They are (i) Chennai, (ii) Bangalore, (iii) Ludhiana, (iv) Karnal, (v) Delhi, (vi) Indore, (vii) Jaipur, (viii) Kanpur, (ix) Agra, (x) Mumbai, (xi) Hyderabad, (xii) Guwahati. The first challenge will be to prepare a detailed road map with a weekly or fortnightly markers to implement this massive re-organizational task within manageable time frame. For this purpose, as you may have noted that for the preparation of this report your and your colleagues' suggestions were extremely sought after and included. It is desired to go through the recommendations of the report and ensure the following: (i) To prepare an Organizational chart for your Institute in consonance with recommended Organisation Structure (OS). Also suggest Officers by name to be placed under each vertical of O.S. (ii) To delineate the competencies / skill sets required for services / activities under each verticals of the proposed structure. Similarly, for the implementation of this report, it is important andimperative that you take the entire officers and staff of MSME-DI with you.Share a copy of this report which has been put up on the DC office websitein the employees comer which your colleagues can down load or read.

I am making yourself as the Director of MSME-DI responsible as theNodal Officer. You may select anybody else who can carry on these duties.

For Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai, I am putting ShriSivagnanam, AlA as overall supervisor.

The road map in details should be ready by so" of January, 2014.This should be e-mailed to JDC (Admn), to be collated by him and thereafterwe shall take it forward from there.
