French motorway networks are managed by private companies.Their pavement management systems are based on surveys and measurements acquired previously by Sirano operated by Vectra.Built in the 90’s and after 13 years of duty, Sirano had to be changed.

AMAC® multifunction inspection apparatus, full integrated, was developed by VECTRA in collaboration with LCPC. AMAC® is a full integrated multifunction equipment, with functions such as:

Function Longitudinal Profile of AMAC®Longitudinal profile on AMAC is a non contact profiler, the function is the continuity of the APL MLPC equipment, qualified by the French Roads Laboratory (IFSTTAR) .Composed, in standard configuration (two wheel tracks) of:
• One rigid beam in which the sensors are mounted,• Two lasers of 16 KHz sampling frequency,• One vertical accelerometer,• One fiber optic gyrometer,• One pre treatment unit on the beam,• One 19” rack mounted acquisition unit in the vehicle,
SamplingFrom 5mm to few centimeters at all inspection speed.

Transverse profile on AMAC is a laser transverse profile composed of two sensors. Standard configuration two sensors with:
• Coupling laser camera,• high power pulsed near infrared laser diode,• 2 sensors, left and right sensors,• Transversal width view per profile: 1280 points (2*640),• One 19” rack mounted acquisition unit in the vehicle,
Measure Depth accuracy: 1 mm,Effective transversal field of view 3.8 m,
